We are hiring for a Center Director for our Glens Falls Center!
Come join our team at Warren County Head Start in providing quality early childhood education to children, families, and our community!

About Us: Warren County Head Start and Early Head Start are federally funded programs for pregnant women, children ages birth through 5 years old and their families. Our goal is to provide high-quality education and support, as early as pregnancy through the Preschool years to children, families and our community.

Position Overview:
Ensure the smooth operation of the Center and health and safety of the Center
Over see day to day operation and staff ratios
Communicates respectfully and effectively with all families, children and staff and promotes teamwork
Works closely with Coordinators for program needs
Assists visitors and inspectors
Caring for young children requires that employee be able to stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and sit on floor. Lifting of up to 40 pounds may be required
12 month position that includes paid time off

Pay: 20.75 a hour
Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood or related field and one year teaching experience and one year supervising staff in a licensed daycare facility.*

WE WILL BE OPEN ON MONDAY!!! I just spoke to someone and everything on the federal side has been awarded and is at the bank to transfer into the Payment Management System!!! The entire agency will be open on Monday to all staff and all children! Now we can all breath and enjoy our weekend! See you Monday!

Good afternoon everyone! I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving. We have not received our funds yet. I will continue to check and keep you posted. I am calling Health and Human Services today. They are the agency that releases our funds. Hopefully they can speed things up. For SUNY Adirondack staff and students: if we do not receive our funds, there is a possibility that SUNY will cover the costs of the Child Care Center so that we can open on Monday. I have been in contact with them as well. I will keep you all posted and stay warm today!

We have great news! Our grant application has been approved! We are now waiting for the release of our funds! One step closer! Happy Thanksgiving everyone! We will keep you posted on the release of our funds!

Warren County Head Start has heard from the National Head Start Association that grant applications have started to get approved. Cross your fingers that they approve ours soon! Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
