In honor of National Dog Day, RCC faculty and staff wanted to share the beloved pets who make their houses feel like home. These loyal companions are our walking buddies, study partners, couch snugglers, and constant sources of unconditional love.

And while the dogs may have inspired today's celebration, several feline friends insisted on joining the fun, and we're glad they did.

Enjoy meeting the furry members of the RCC family who remind us every day that the best welcome home often comes with a wagging tail... or a very loud meow. 🐶🐱

The first day of the Fall 2026 semester is here, and our students are ready to chase their goals.

Every student who walks through our doors has a unique story, a field they're passionate about, and a dream they're working toward. Today, we asked students what they're studying and where they hope their education will take them.

From healthcare and business to education and beyond, their aspirations remind us that every semester is the start of something meaningful.

Meet the students of Fall 2026 and hear their dreams in their own words.

Flashback Friday Today for Flashback Friday, we're traveling all the way back to 2010! RCC alumna Jill Hester Barrette shared this special video in the comments of last week's Flashback Friday post, and we couldn't wait to feature it.

Since her time at RCC, Jill has built an impressive nursing career spanning 16 years. She's worked in Virginia, Florida, and Hawaii, primarily in Oncology nursing, and is now happily settled as an Endoscopy (GI) Nurse in Yulee, Florida, a specialty she says she absolutely loves.

Jill is also putting the finishing touches on her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) through Arizona State University and is set to graduate this December.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Jill is a proud mom to her 9-year-old son and enjoys family life with her husband, who is now retired from the U.S. Navy.

We're proud to celebrate Jill's journey and all she has accomplished since graduating from RCC. Thank you for sharing this wonderful memory with us!

🎥 Enjoy the video and take a trip back to 2010 with us!
