HELP! I wasn’t ready... 🥴
When baby girl began school virtually in early August, I wasn’t sure how she’d adjust. I knew I’d prepare my home, my mind and spoken with the boys and her about to what changes we were making in the house and why.
Then Aria began school onsite and she’s rolling with it like a champ so I’m grateful she transitioned well and was ready for PreK 2 although she isn’t 2 yet 💜👍🏽 and has AMAZING TEACHERS
WHAT I WASN’T (AM NOT) READY FOR~ My overnight scenario, scenario 🎶 ( DMV original 🙃)
Little miss Aria waking me at 4:20AM on a Saturday to go potty 🚽 no no no! 😳 “That’s what diapers are for right? You’re still 1 for another 2 months! It’s 4 in the morning!” I wanted to stay sleep but “Aria poddy” “Aria poop” was on repeat at maximum volume 😭😭😭 for the next 35 minutes. Guilt overtakes me so we go “poddy” and.... Aria not only pees but she poops. 🤦🏽♀️😣
I apologize to her and we sat and sat and sat until she decides “all done” so we return to bed. .. finally around 6:40 she falls asleep 💤 as do. Then I wake 7am to the boys WIDE AWAKE 😳. In a house where on Saturdays we could all easily sleep until 9:30AM ...
I just wasn’t ready for these new additions to what school brings!
...super early, too early Saturday body clocks, potty trained on steroids and even less sleep for mama on the weekend 🤣😜🙄. All jokes aside, these are all good things for the kids... I just wasn’t ready 🤷🏽♀️
Can you relate?
