CAPE We are the Citrus Automotive & Physics Eco-marathon Team who will compete in the 2016 Shell Eco-marathon and do the impossible by achieving 1,500 mpg!!!!!!

We are the Citrus Automotive & Physics Eco-marathon Team who will compete in the 2017 Shell Eco-marathon. The competition challenges teams of students from national and international high schools, colleges and universities to design and build the most energy-efficient vehicle. The event will be hosted in Detroit, Michigan on April 27-29, 2017 and will mark the eleventh anniversary of the Shell Eco

-marathon Americas. In previous years, with over 110 vehicles onsite, our team placed 14th in the gasoline prototype category by achieving 532 miles per gallon. With the addition of a diesel prototype vehicle this year, our goals for this year’s competition are to place in the top 10 and achieve over 3,000 miles per gallon. Throughout the year, our team also performs outreach activities for K-12 students in the Citrus College Community creating awareness of science and engineering to increase their interest in those fields.
