School readiness is about so much more than knowing letters and numbers. It’s also about learning how to follow routines, listen, communicate, clean up, try things independently, and feel confident in a group setting. ❤️

These are the everyday skills we practice at Circle Time through songs, stories, play, art, movement, and hands-on activities.

Our goal isn’t to make little kids “do school” early - it’s to help them feel comfortable, capable, and excited to learn. 🍎

READY FOR TK? 🎒

Starting TK is a BIG transition - especially now that TK programs are growing and many children are spending longer days at school.

One of the best things we can give children before they enter the classroom is familiarity with routines.

Knowing how to:
• Carry and put away their lunch box
• Follow a classroom routine
• Sit for circle time
• Listen to a teacher
• Transition from one activity to the next
• Clean up and take care of their belongings

These small skills can make a BIG difference in helping children feel confident and comfortable at school.

At Circle Time, we practice these routines through play, learning, and everyday classroom experiences - so children aren’t learning everything for the first time when they walk into TK. 🤍

School readiness isn’t just knowing letters and numbers. It’s knowing how to BE in a classroom.

At Circle Time Glendora, our 2-hour classes are thoughtfully designed to give young children enough time to learn, explore, practice, and connect - without rushing from one activity to the next.

✨ Circle Time & Learning
We introduce age-appropriate concepts through stories, songs, early literacy, phonics, math, science, and hands-on activities.

🍎 Snack Time
Snack is more than a break. It’s an opportunity to practice independence, conversation, social skills, and classroom routines.

🧩 Play & Exploration
Play supports problem-solving, language development, creativity, fine-motor skills, and social-emotional growth.

📚 Hands-On Learning
Children learn best when they can move, touch, build, experiment, and make meaningful connections.

Two hours gives us the space to do all of this without rushing childhood. 🤍

Because meaningful learning for young children isn’t about how many worksheets they can complete - it’s about creating experiences that build the foundation for lifelong learning.

Because young children learn best when they feel seen, comfortable and connected.

At Circle Time, our small-group environment gives children more opportunities to participate, explore, ask questions, practice new skills and build confidence at their own pace.

Our classes intentionally combine:

🎨 Hands-on art and sensory experiences
✋ Fine-motor development
❤️ Social-emotional learning
🌱 Independence & confidence
🍎 Kindergarten readiness

And with a maximum of 8 children per class, we’re able to create an environment that feels warm and personal - not overwhelming.

🌸 Exploring Spring: Plants, Parts & Pollinators 🌸

Our Preschool Pod & Kinder Prep students engaged in a hands-on exploration of flowers today, using real materials to create art through stamping 🌸

Activities like these are intentionally designed to support fine motor development, sensory exploration, and early scientific observation. By working with real flowers, children experience texture, structure, and patterns in a meaningful, memorable way.

In our small group environment, each child receives individualized guidance and the space to explore at their own pace - building confidence, focus, and independence. This approach not only strengthens foundational skills but also fosters a genuine love of learning.

We are grateful to our families who value hands-on, experiential learning and see the impact it has on their children’s growth every day 💛
