Last Thursday, our Southwest campus held a successful open house, inviting the community to check out our programs. Our staff and students did a fantastic job sharing their experiences and program knowledge with prospective students and their parents.
Last week some of our Dental Science students took on a large volunteer project at the Arizona Veterans Memorial Coliseum. Students spent two days assisting with emergency dental care for under-insured and homeless individuals. Over 2000 kids and adults received care at this great event, and our West-MEC students had the opportunity to provide hands-on skills while working with dentists and lab technicians in the field.
Students are job-ready when they earn valuable industry credentials with West-MEC.
Dental Science instructor Tracey Oium spoke a little about some of the crucial credentials that her students earn with her in their program, and how it helps them level up.
Heads up! Our Virtual Parent Credential Night is this upcoming Wednesday, December 14, at 5:30 p.m! Register at bit.ly/WMRegistrationHealth

Here is West-MEC Nursing Services student, Tiffany McFall, featured on ABC15 news last night.
Amazing job, Tiffany!
Nursing student takes what she learned in class, saves life the same day “It’s crazy to think that the skills I learned here, I saved my best friend and coworker that day,” said the 18-year-old Ironwood High School Student.
West-MEC student and hero!
Tiffany McFall used her Nursing Services training to save the life of her co-worker who was having a seizure while swimming in a pool. Tune into ABC 15 tonight at 5pm to hear more about her amazing story.
Thanks to ABC15 and Cameron Polom for coming out this morning to shoot a segment in our Nursing Services classroom with Tiffany!
We know why our students are amazing, but when we get to hear it directly from industry partners who hire West-MEC completers, it's just a little bit sweeter 🧡
We know that when our West-MEC students leave us, they have not only been set up with valuable technical skills, but also the building blocks of a career that will lead to economic independence.
Jose Gonzalez is a former coding student who found just that (seen here posing with his brand new truck). Click the link below to learn more about Jose's success since completing his program:
