All Glendale Unified schools, childcare operations, and district offices will be closed for the remainder of the week (January 9 and 10) to prioritize safety and manage emergency response.

Please stay vigilant about wind and fire warnings in our area:

Due to the high winds and fires impacting our region, all Glendale Unified School District schools, child care operations, and district offices will be closed tomorrow, Wednesday, January 8.

GUSD employees should not report physically to work on Wednesday.

This decision was made to prioritize the safety of our students, employees, and families, as wind and fires have significantly impacted the accessibility of roadways and the air quality in our area.

We will assess any damages caused by the wind to ensure the safety and security of all our school facilities.

We will provide an update on our school schedule for Thursday, January 9, by tomorrow afternoon once the assessment is complete.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation as we take steps to keep our District safe.
