Our antics during Dan Rice Days at the Yellow House got us in the local paper during the beginning of the month.

This weekend the troopers participated in D-Day Conneaut! Stay tuned for some more pictures and videos throughout the weeks to come.

Most frontline combat was fought at the squad and platoon levels. Patrols, scouting missions, and sudden skirmishes over hedgerows, crossroads, or small patches of farmland made up the daily reality for infantrymen.
In this living history tactical demonstration, a group of spectators watches from behind a white fence as reenactors portray a World War II engagement. A lone German soldier maintains a guard position near a scenic field of sunflowers while an American patrol from the 505th Parachute Infantry Regiment maneuvers into position and opens fire, prompting tactical movements.
This was our last demonstration for the day.

There will be short and small battle demonstrations behind the Yellow House in Girard, PA during Dan Rice Days at every hour, starting at 12:30 until 4! Come out and participate, the crowds are rather large!

Camp opens at noon today and will be open til 4 pm!
Come out and support your local WWII reenactment group! Come out and see different equipment they will use for the large D-Day reenactment in a couple of weeks.

Due to circumstances beyond our control, our group will unfortunately not be attending Waterford Heritage Days this year.
​We did not make this decision lightly, but the safety of our members and the preservation of our equipment are our top priorities. Our cancellation is due to two major factors:
​Air Quality: Current air quality levels in our portion of the state remain poor. Even with conditions projected to improve over the weekend, we cannot risk the health and well-being of our members.
​Severe Weather Forecast: With an "Enhanced" risk of severe storms and a high probability of tornado activity forecast for the area, we must take precautions to protect our canvas tents, historical gear, and personal belongings.
​We are incredibly sorry to anyone who was hoping to see us this weekend! We hope for clearer skies next year.
​In the meantime, we look forward to seeing you all at our next event at the Yellow House in Girard, PA, during Dan Rice Days!
