📚 Planning ahead for the 2026–2027 school year!

Incoming freshmen are encouraged to turn in enrollment packets as soon as possible to ensure a smooth start to the school year. Walk-Through Registration will take place July 27 through July 31, with additional details coming soon.

The first day of school is August 10, and we look forward to welcoming IHS students back for another great year!

Independence High School will be closed for the summer starting June 1. Our offices will reopen on Monday, July 6. If you have questions, please call 623-435-6000. School resumes on August 10.

Portrait of a Graduate is a student-centered vision that outlines the essential skills, mindsets, and competencies students need to succeed in college, career, and life. Rooted in collaboration with educators, families, community members, and industry leaders, this vision helps guide classroom learning, extracurricular experiences, and opportunities for student growth.
