The Glen Dale United Methodist Church would like to invite the GDCDC families to join us for Sunday morning service on March 30th @ 10:45. This service is dedicated to lifting up ministries for children and youth. Immediately after the service, we will have a small reception honoring Miss Brenda, who is retiring after 18 years with the CDC. Brenda has served our program in the role of prek teacher, school age teacher and, most recently, as everyone's favorite staff member- our cook! She is loved by all and will be greatly missed 💙. Even if you're unable to attend the service, please stop by in the afternoon to wish her a happy and fulfilling retirement!
There is an envelope in the front office for anyone who would like to contribute to her retirement gift.

The Glen Dale Child Development Center is hiring qualified infant/toddler teachers. Applicants must have a valid driver's license, clear background check, a minimum of a CDA or willingness to obtain and experience in a child care/pre-school setting. The Glen Dale Child Development Center and its Board of Directors have made the decision not to renew our WV UPK contractual agreement with Marshall County Schools, effective at the end of this school year. We feel that our space and resources will better serve our families and the community by expanding our early education programs and offering a smaller, private Pre-K program.
Although we will not be collaborating with the schools, our current UPk teacher, Rachel Crow will be teaching our private preschool program following the WV Universal PreK learning standards and utilizing Creative Curriculum, the curriculum adopted by Marshall County Schools. The program is open to any child who is 4 by July 1st, regardless of residency. For more information call 304-845-1450.

Congratulations to Jessie, Erica, Jamie, Kelsey, Tammy, and Ashley for completing WVIT 2, a 45 hour course on relationship-based care for child care providers. Collectively, the ladies in this picture represent 28 years of experience, over 800 training hours in early childhood, 2 CDAs, ACDS, and a Bachelor's in Elementary Education. We are very proud of their accomplishments and their commitment to our children and families.
