Our summer staff spotlight series continues with Mrs. Ryan, who is sharing what she's most excited about for the upcoming school year! ๐๐๐งก
Mrs. Ryan recently received an SRP grant to bring a unique hands-on engineering challenge to our STEM classroom: towel animals!
Inspired by the fun surprises found on cruise ships, students will learn the art and technique of folding classic towel animals before using their creativity and engineering skills to design their own original towel creatures.
We can't wait to see the imagination, problem-solving, and innovation our students will bring to this exciting project. Congratulations to Mrs. Ryan on her grant award, and thank you for creating such engaging learning experiences for our Leopards!

Two weeks ago, our school lost a beloved member of staff. Today we pause to honor and remember Ms. Lynda Clyde, 6th grade teacher at Legend Springs Elementary.
Ms. Clyde will always be remembered for her passion for teaching, and the care she brought into her classroom each day. She had a gift for connecting with students and her teaching was meaningful, engaging, and full of heart.
Beyond the classroom, Ms. Clydeโs beautiful singing voice often brought joy to those around her, and her iconic collection of teacher t-shirtsโalways featuring just the right saying for the momentโbrought smiles and laughter to our school community.
Her impact on students, colleagues, and families will not be forgotten. The loss of Ms. Clyde is deeply felt across the Leopard community, and our thoughts remain with her family and loved ones during this time.
We are grateful for the time we had with her and the lasting legacy she leaves at Legend Springs. We miss you Ms. Clyde!๐๐๐งก

Our 6th grade historians brought history to life through their Living Timeline presentations! ๐โจ
Students chose a specific moment in history to research, then stepped into the role of expert to share what they learned. From major historical events to pivotal cultural moments, each presentation helped us better understand how the past shapes our present.
We are so proud of the effort, curiosity, and confidence our students showed as they taught and learned from one another. What an incredible way to experience history in action! ๐ฐ๏ธ๐

100 books = pizza party unlocked! ๐๐๐พ
Our 3rd graders in Mrs. Thompson and Mrs. Galiettiโs classes celebrated their 100 Books Read Club achievement today! Students took on the optional challenge to read and record 100 books this school yearโand worked so hard to make it happen.
We are so proud of the time, effort, and dedication theyโve shown all year long. Reaching this goal means countless moments of reading, growing stronger as readers, and building lifelong reading habits. Watching their confidence and love of reading grow has been the best part. ๐๐งกโจ
