ASU Mentoring Program (AMP) The ASU Mentoring Program (AMP) is an academic enrichment program for high school juniors and seniors.

AMP specifically targets students interested in attending ASU. Recruitment focuses on the Phoenix Union High School District (PUHSD) however, students from other school districts will be considered for acceptance into AMP. AMP students start as juniors and are provided with 34 structured academic interactive pre-collegiate sessions over a two year period. AMP, an academic year-round program, is de

livered every other Saturday from 9:00AM-12:00 noon in computer labs at the ASU Downtown campus. For increased social support, AMP students are aided by academically successful university student mentors who are selected, recruited, and trained by AMP staff as mentors and role models for the high school students. The ASU mentors receive college credit for their participation in AMP. AMP students are provided with an array of university tools, resources, information, interactive workshops, athletic events visits, and guest speakers that collectively facilitate a “college going culture”.
