Cardinal Stritch University Performing Arts

Our Story

Cardinal Stritch University's Performing Arts Department has expanded greatly over the years and is now housed in the state of the art Joan Steele Stein Center Building on the main campus in Milwaukee, WI.
The Stritch Performing Arts Department produces some of the most varied and innovative college-level productions in the Greater Milwaukee Area. The program has faculty who have worked in professional performing arts in the Milwaukee area and across the US. Stritch produces a variety of shows each year and strives to give students and the community exposure to many different styles of performance including Theater for Young Audiences, Vocal Ensemble, Musicals, Intimate Dramas, the Stritch Community Orchestra and peformances from outside professional organizations such as Milwaukee Ballet II through our “arts@stritch” series.
Stritch productions are housed in the beautiful 400 seat proscenium Nancy Kendall Theater and intimate Black Box Theater in the Center for Fine Arts. In addition to productions, there are many other opportunities for student involvement and other activities sponsored by the Genesian Players student theater organization.
