Registration is open for the 2019 SCIUG Conference at https://sciug.wordpress.com/register/. Taking place on Wednesday, October 30, the 2019 SCIUG Conference will be held at the Glendale Downtown Central Library. Registration is $10, and includes a continental breakfast.
The Steering Committee is very excited about the conference agenda this year. We have a session on OpenAthens Authentication, Resource Sharing Options and the popular Networking Forum. In addition, we will have III Updates and Q&A Session with Tom Jacobson, VP; Executive Library Advocate and Strategist, Innovative, as well as Raena Morrison, VP; North American Account Management, Innovative. This years’ conference will start at 9:00am and run until 2:00pm. A continental breakfast, lunch, and on campus parking are provided free of charge. Registration is $25 and will close on October 17th.

• Index Rules – Time for a Refresh?
• Visualizing Data: Sierra SQL API and Plotly

SCIUG Conference SCIUG is the Southern California regional chapter of the Innovative Users Group. It is led by the Steering Committee who organizes the annual conference.
This is a reminder that the SCIUG Steering Committee is still accepting program proposals until August 15, 2018. Please use this form to submit your proposal. This is a great opportunity for you to share projects, ideas, workflows, methods, trends or achievements with your Southern California colleagues.
IMPORTANT NOTE: The Steering Committee would like to continue providing attendees of the SCIUG Conference with an informative and communal experience, and the programming we provide relies on the community of Southern California III users to actively participate through the submission of proposals. The quality of the experience at the upcoming 2018 conference could be affected unless more proposals are submitted for us to review. The committee hopes you will consider participating by providing us with program content and we look forward to seeing you at Chapman University in October.
The Southern California Innovative Users Group (SCIUG) conference will gather on Tuesday, October 23, 2018, at Chapman University, and the Steering Committee is eagerly seeking program content from you.
In addition to presentations by Innovative staff and one-hour concurrent breakout sessions, we will have a poster session. This is also an excellent chance to meet directly with III personnel who will be in attendance.
Proposal submissions will be accepted until August 15th. Presenters will be notified of proposal acceptance beginning September 5th.
