In Relational Communication, we explored why understanding how we communicate in relationships matters so much. 💬✨
Everyday interactions that include tone, empathy, boundaries, and emotions shape trust, connection, and meaning between people. Relational communication isn’t just about what we say, but how our words and behaviors build the relationships that define our lives.
By studying these patterns, we learn to communicate with more awareness, compassion, and intention. That’s a skill that carries far beyond the classroom.

Patty McCord book “Powerful” 📚 reminds us that true leadership isn’t about giving people power rather it’s about recognizing that they already have it. The role of a company and its leaders is to create an environment where people feel confident and free to bring their best selves forward.
Leadership isn’t control it’s creating a condition where people can thrive. 📈
What do you think 💭 should leaders focus more on empowering people so they can use the power they already have?

Brené Brown’s “Dare to Lead” 📚 reminds us of a powerful truth about leadership . It all starts with vulnerability . True leadership takes courage, and courage is rooted in the willingness to show up fully open.
🗣️ Vulnerability isn’t weakness : it’s a strength. Our leadership can only be as bold as our capacity to be vulnerable.
What do you think 🤔 can leaders be truly courageous without vulnerability ? 💬

This week in Organizational Communication, we’ve been exploring what truly makes a great leader. The Haiilo article reminded us that skills like active listening, empathy, and strategic thinking are at the core of effective leadership. These ideas align perfectly with the books we’re reading: Adam Grant’s Think Again challenges us to stay curious and rethink our assumptions, Patty McCord’s Powerful highlights honesty and empowerment in the workplace, and Brené Brown’s Dare to Lead demonstrates how courage and vulnerability are central to leadership. It’s exciting to see how these perspectives connect, reminding us that leadership is less about having all the answers and more about creating spaces where people can thrive together.
