Highly recommend https://EasyVirtualChoir.com, super easy to use, and it is FREE! The software aligns audio/video tracks automatically and generates virtual choir videos instantly. Users have created videos for choir, musical instruments, virtual rehearsal, online music teaching, sing-along, choir dance, singing with sign language, remote PE, skit etc., or simply for fun with friends and family. Educators have used it to integrate music, teacher instruction and student participation into one video. It’s a great visualization tool and virtual platform combined, a versatile app that can be used in various ways. The entire process is easy enough that even kindergartners and 1st graders can figure out how to add their recordings to the virtual choir. Most teachers have got a video created after just one class period. It’s a fun way for teachers to engage remote students and provide timely feedback. Kids are excited to participate in the recordings and see themselves in the generated video. Online music classes have become so much easier with this software, which has made teachers thrilled, students delighted, and parents pleased. Hope this free service will be helpful to your students too!

Congratulations my dearest daughter Patricia Mejia!🌻
I have to pick 3 of 5 Board Members for Washington Elem No. 6 School governing Board, but I cannot find sufficient information regarding any of the candidates. None could be bothered to answer the survey questions in azvoterguide.com. Searching with Google doesn't show much info either. Do I pick them by the name I like the most?
how am i supposed to get daughter meds/prescription note to nurse when not allowed on campus, i have reached out through email and phone and nothing no response. My daughter wont take her meds to the nurses office i need an answer
can you please provide us with a better breakdown of where the funding for prop 208 will go?

Sometimes my posts seem negative in nature, however, that is the passion for my children getting the proper education that they deserve and will get in this district or somewhere else. I am a product of the Washington Elementary School school district and I know that the teachers here are highly motivated and can teach our children what they need to know to be successful members of society that thrive in any environment. I mean my children have had the same teacher that I had teaching me Sunday school when I was young. They can not do that if they are not in the classroom where they have the most impact. I would challenge my fellow parents to not be bench warmers in this process and be active. My wife attended the recent PTO meeting for our school (Virtually of course) and was the only parent in attendance........Why? Are too many of us riding the bench, like some of our board members? Are we asking the right questions? Are we investing the time in our children's education that we are asking everyone else too? I ask these things because as a father of three ( 2 in district ) maybe I have been coasting for too long as well get involved, Invest in your child's education with your time and your money if possible(not tax dollars). With that being said, There is a board meeting this Thursday, how many of you have written e-mails to the board members with your opinion on schools opening and how? The board meeting is virtual and can be listened in by all. Three of the five members are up for election in 2 months. Let them know we are listening and we will vote accordingly if the administration (Dr.Stanton) is not held accountable to what we as parents expect.
Metrics are met for Hybrid! Next week full traditional metrics will be met. Do we have a date or even a plan yet?
When will be getting more information about possible in person learning after labor day and the options of in person learning??

Can we PLEASE let our children get back to some sort of normalcy and quality education they deserve!? If us parents are comfortable with sending our kids back, please let us.

My plan proposal:
Make in person learning optional. If parents choose to keep their children online only they must stay online until next semester. If they choose in person and at any point feel unsafe, we can put our child back to online learning only. This change can only be made 1 time and will have to remain the choice of online only until the 2nd semester.
For the children who are choosing to be back in person:
Half the students go in person Mondays & Tuesdays, other half Thursdays and Fridays. All online learning Wednesdays for cleaning in between groups. Days kids are not in person they are online. This helps with limited bodies in a classroom, kids get their school setting, kids get to socialize with their peers, less device problems, better learning experience, less kids have stress of online learning, etc. Please don't make it be like a prison either, completely unnecessary and unconventional.
really need to know if there going to be in person schooling in September. I need to make appointments for other things but cant do those unless know whats going on with school.

There is still time to reduce your state tax liability (up to $200 filing single or $400 filing jointly) by donating to a WESD school! This year, Tax Day is Tuesday, April 18, which means you have until then to make a tax credit donation that is eligible for your 2022 or 2023 tax filings. A tax credit donation to a WESD school puts your tax dollars back into our community where they will make a difference for our students. If you are looking to contribute to a school that could use extra support, please consider donating to Sahuaro Elementary School, Sunset Elementary, Palo Verde Middle School, John Jacobs Elementary or Manzanita Elementary School.

Our final February 2023 Employee of the Month spotlight goes to Heather Warr, health office technician at Sahuaro Elementary School.

Heather is recognized for the positive impact she has on student achievement by going above and beyond each day to ensure the physical needs of students are met so they are able to focus on their learning and success in school. Although this year has been challenging with multiple students needing specific care with insulin shots and blood sugar monitoring, she keeps a positive attitude and smile on her face. She has also been a big help this year by always being available for a Head Start program student who requires multiple health office visits on a daily basis. Even when she had a scheduled absence coming up, Heather reached out to the Head Start program team to arrange plans for this student. Additionally, Heather provides excellent customer service to everyone she comes in contact with by being kind, friendly and showing genuine concern for the wellbeing of all students on campus. Her colleagues describe her as caring, responsible and dependable.

Happy National School Social Work Week, ! This week serves as an opportunity to recognize the critical work of our school social workers and all they do to support students, families and their school communities. The theme for this week's celebration is “We Rise” as school social workers rise to share hope, listen and understand, and challenge inequities. We are so grateful for our amazing school social workers and are fortunate to have at least one at each school!

Remember to thank your school social worker this week!

A new week means a new February 2023 Employee of the Month spotlight! Congratulations to Katie Trentacosta, Special Services program coach with the Special Services Department.

In her role as a Special Services program coach, Katie supports a number of school administrators, teachers, students and families in navigating the world of special education. She prioritizes student achievement through data-informed decisions, which are used to drive instructional practice and behavioral supports. She uses her extensive behavior background to train staff and assists teams in finding appropriate interventions and data collection methods based on students’ individual circumstances. She is also committed to providing excellent customer service through professional communication in IEP meetings, and in other in-person and virtual meetings. Thanks to her open and honest communication, staff and families find her approachable and feel supported. Additionally, Katie has made a positive impact on student achievement by providing meaningful feedback and supporting teachers and school teams regarding student behavior. Her colleagues describe her as dependable, honest and intelligent.

Congratulations to Sweetwater School Principal Susie Smith! Earlier this week, she was selected and recognized as the 2022 Beth McDonald Woman of the Year! Sponsored by 99.9 KEZ and Shea Homes, Susie received a $7,500 cash prize in honor of her achievement! Susie was one of 12 finalist for the award, having been recognized last May as a finalist. Susie was nominated by her then office manager, Sonya Titus, who said, “Susie is the most generous, loving, caring and kind person I know. She works countless hours as a school principal and gives 110% every day. She gets to know all staff, students and parents on a personal level. She is a leader in every sense of the word. She is supportive, compassionate, thoughtful and always willing to help those in need. Susie often spends her own money on students to purchase prizes for drawings, a pair of shoes or school supplies to help students be successful.” We couldn’t agree more!

The is so proud of Susie and appreciates everything she does for her school community!

Good afternoon, ! We finish this week’s February 2023 Employee of the Month spotlights with Mallory Quigg, certified teacher in the Head Start Program at Mountain View School.

Although Mallory is new to the Head Start program at her school this year, she has been an invaluable addition to the team. She is committed to providing the best atmosphere and opportunities for her students and their families. She is always looking for ways to meet the needs of her students, especially as she agreed to take on the students from the classroom next door while the teacher was away to cover at another site for a few weeks. During this time, Mallory stepped up to the challenge and worked with the support instructor to ensure the students received excellent instruction. She immediately learned the specific needs of each student and communicated frequently with their teacher to ensure she was staying consistent with the regular expectations. She even made connections with the students and their families with an overall positive attitude. Thanks to Mallory’s work, the students quickly adapted to her leadership while the interim change in the classroom was seamless. Her colleagues describe her as a team player, flexible and positive.
