From her childhood, two things were obvious for Alice Atakanian: she loved makeup and she was destined for greatness. Alice began her formal makeup training in 1997 with David Allen Dittmer, a giant in the industry with more than 27 years in front of the make up chair for the Television and Motion Picture Industry and Dina Ousley, an actress turned Hollywood makeup artist. Alice's passion, work ethic, instinct for the art and constant need to challenge herself that set her apart and earned her one-on-one-training opportunities rarely found in the commercial Beauty Industry. By 1999, she gradated and started working on TV Commercials where her strong personality, self-confidence and talent took root. Alice had quickly become an expert in her field taking every opportunity her native Los Angeles had to offer. From bridal shows and Fire Fighter fundraisers, to being a personal makeup artist for over 20 A-List Hollywood celebrities, Alice shined. Her skills and reputation continued to expand across borders as far as India where she was invited to work with world-renowned wedding planner Nikka Khan and continues to be a sought after name in the Indian Beauty and Entertainment Industries. By 2006 Alice had mastered everything there was to master as a traditional makeup artist, but still felt that there was more she could do. The first phase of this was her smash hit Bridal Show at the Glendale Hilton with over 500 people in attendance. Since then she has put on multiple similar shows in Armenia and India as well as the United States. Ultimately and naturally, in 2009, Alice opened the doors for her very own Beauty Salon (Alice Makeup Land) and Makeup and Hair Academy (AML Academy). From here she teaches and services LA's finest. In its short life, Alice Makeup Land has received many awards, recognitions, and was nominated for BEST HAIR SALON IN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA by KCAL 9. Alice's expertise in hair and hair extensions, in tandem with her makeup skills routinely bring AML Academy into the spotlight. She can be seen in action during her prime time television show on ARTN Armenian channel 288 on Persian Satellite TV ANDESHEH.With the salon going full steam, Alice knew that the time was right to reveal the newest addition to the Alice Beauty Legacy her own brand of top-of-the-line, high definition Beauty Product Line Luscious by Alice. Having dealt with truckloads of other beauty products, Alice knew exactly what a makeup artist needs from a product and how an outstanding product should perform. Luscious by Alice" fulfills these needs above and beyond what is expected of in makeup products.
