Alumni Spirit Wear!
St. Gabriel School is having a spirit wear sale thought this weekend that features an alumni shirt. This is the official spirit wear site (the link is also on the school's webpage under Parents). Feel free to purchase one of our Angel Uniform Jackets as well. All items will need to be picked up at school. Delivery in ~4 weeks. Orders close Sunday, August 31st at 11:59pm.

Meet Mrs. Cheri Swanson

While I may not have a classroom of my own, St. Gabriel School has been like a second home to me for the last 11 years. As a parent volunteer, I’ve supported our school in different ways, and now I’m honored to serve as the Director of Marketing, Development, and Alumni Relations—sharing our story, connecting with our alumni, and helping to ensure a bright future for our school.

I’m also mom to two amazing kids—one is now a sophomore at St. Xavier High School and proud St. Gabe alum, and the other is a 7th grader here at St. Gabriel.

After 9 years managing Spirit Wear, I’m excited to pass the torch to the Woody family so I can focus on my other roles (like writing these posts!). I’m grateful to be part of this incredible community and look forward to another great school year!

Meet Mr. Bethune, Music Teacher

Mr. Bethune brings incredible talent and energy to our music program at St. Gabriel School. A gifted pianist and professional trumpet player, he shares his passion for music with students of all ages.
He coordinates every aspect of our school’s music life—leading music at Mass, the 7th and 8th Grade Liturgical Music Special, Grandparent’s Day, Graduation, the Kindergarten Finale, May Crowning, and many other special events. He also organizes the beloved kindergarten and first grade Christmas programs that showcase our youngest performers.
With his dedication, skill, and love for the arts, Mr. Bethune inspires our students to discover the joy of making music and the power of performance!

For 31 years, Mrs. Starke has been guiding our youngest learners through their very first steps at St. Gabriel Consolidated School. She has a gift for introducing children to all aspects of kindergarten—making those first days feel exciting, welcoming, and full of possibility. If you’re a parent feeling those first-day jitters, rest assured: your child is in excellent hands.

Mrs. Starke loves helping students begin their academic journey, with Language Arts being her favorite subject to teach. She’s married and the proud mom of a St. Gabriel alumna. Outside of school, she enjoys family trips to Disney and relaxing beach vacations. We’re so lucky to have her warmth, experience, and dedication shaping our future learners!

Meet Mrs. Moore, 2nd grade teacher

A true cornerstone of our school, Mrs. Moore has been inspiring young minds at St. Gabriel for an incredible 35 years! She loves teaching all subjects, but math has a special place in her heart.

When summer rolls around, you’ll often find her relaxing with a good book or enjoying the sunshine and sand at the beach. Mrs. Moore is also a proud mom of two St. Gabriel alumni.
