Sierra Verde STEAM Academy

Hi SV families!
We are a feeder school for MRHS and we would love to help support them by sharing with you a camp they’re offering for third through fifth grade students to play girls basketball. The head West Wing girls basketball coach recently got hired and is rebuilding the program. Her name is Anastasia Preston. Just this past season at West Wing her team was 20 to 0 and they are DVUSD’s two a district champs and regional champions. She is eager to build the future of the program!

Last night we said goodbye to our amazing 8th graders!!! Best of luck on “The Places You Will Go.”

School is out for summer at 12:05!!!! We want to thank all of our families for making this school year one for the record books. Eat, sleep, travel, make memories, repeat!!!

It is the last full day of the 2025-2026 school year!!! Tonight is the big night for our 8th graders as they promote to high school. Talk about leaving a legacy behind. We are proud of this 8th grade group and we know they are destined to change the world!!!

3rd grade bubble truck fun!

Last Tuesday we had our Annual Sports Banquet to recognize the AMAZING Sierra Verde Viper Athletics Teams. Every sports team improved in skills, confidence, and grit. We had 136 athletes participate in a sport this year! WOWAZA! A few celebrations from our night included:
~ Baseball had an undefeated season
~ XC Girls and Boys Team came in 2nd Place
~ We had 12 Assistant Alumni coaches help out this year
~all the coaches received a GOAT- Greatest of All Time Trophy for all their hard work and dedication.
~ We put up a new banner designed by Coach Connolly
~ Mason Kowren and Asher Daly received Male Athlete of the Year
~ Eden Brown and Alicia Lanter received Females Athlete of the Year
~ and Charlie Dennis received the Unsung Hero Award
We will miss the 8th graders next year but looking forward to the 2026-27 Season! We are SO PROUD of the athletes!

Reminder to next year athletes to get their physicals done and paperwork uploaded into Register My Athlete for next season! We start off with Baseball, Softball and Cross Country!

Today we say goodbye to Charleigh and Yishi!!! They have been in charge of roll the clip, Hot Take Tuesdays and Totes Adorbs!!! We will miss their friendship, energy and s***k!!!
