Behind every confident, safe pilot is an instructor who believed in them first. 🛫 This week, we're proud to spotlight Zac Erixon — a vital part of the Fly Eagle Sport family.

Aviation has been a passion for Zac for as long as he can remember. Growing up around military aviation, he was drawn to the excitement of flying from an early age. That early exposure sparked a lifelong goal to become a pilot and eventually share that experience with others.

After graduating from Sacramento State University and working briefly in the golf industry, he decided to pursue aviation full time and began flight training in Phoenix, Arizona. Today, he holds a Certified Flight Instructor – Airplane (CFI-A) certificate, a Commercial Multi-Engine add-on, and an Instrument Rating.

In addition to manned aviation, He is also certified under Part 107 as a Remote Pilot, giving him a well-rounded perspective on both traditional and unmanned flight operations.

As a flight instructor, his top priority is student success. He is committed to creating a supportive, professional training environment where students feel confident, comfortable, and motivated to reach their goals. Whether you’re just starting out or advancing your skills, Zac is here to help you succeed every step of the way.

When he is not flying, you’ll likely find Zac on the golf course, exploring the outdoors, or cheering on his favorite sports teams.

Availability: Weekday and weekend mornings, days, and nights.

Training offered: Discovery flights, flight reviews, Sport Pilot Training, Private Pilot Training, Commercial Training, and CFI ground prep.

Teaching style: Tailored to each student. Expectations will be outlined from the start to meet your needs.

Best fit for: Beginners, rusty pilots, nervous pilots, or accelerated program.

The sky isn't the limit — it's just the beginning! 🌤️ We're shining the spotlight on the CFIs who make student dreams take flight. This week, we're honored to introduce Toby Bala!

As a flight instructor, Toby brings both enthusiasm and dedication to every lesson. Being an excellent teacher is just as important to him as flying. He takes pride in tailoring his instruction to fit each student’s learning style, making sure they not only meet the requirements but truly understand the “why” behind everything.

Whether it’s your first time in the cockpit or you’re preparing for advanced certifications, Toby aims to make the learning experience both challenging and rewarding.

Outside the cockpit, Toby enjoys spending time outdoors. You’ll often find him hiking new trails, paddle boarding on nearby lakes, or fishing whenever he gets the chance. These activities keep him grounded and always ready for the next flight.

Toby is available 24/7 to answer questions, schedule flights, or provide guidance whenever needed- he believes that learning to fly should be as accessible and stress free as possible.

Availability: Weekdays, Weekends, mornings/evenings

Training offered: Sport pilot, private pilot, instrument, commercial, CFII & discovery flights.

Teaching Style: Patient, structured, flexible and available for accelerated learning.

Best Fit For: New students or current students, students who want accelerated learning or those who want to take a slower pace at training. A good fit for any student's schedule whether it is bright and early before sunrise or late nights.

Everyone, meet Daniel Palm, our Chief Pilot at Fly Eagle Sport! His experience, professionalism, and commitment to safe, high-quality flight training make him an invaluable leader for both our students and instructors. We are proud to have him guiding our team and helping future pilots reach their goals!

Daniel was born and raised in Tucson Arizona. As an Arizona native, he has first hand knowledge of the flying intricacies here in the Valley. Daniel focuses on making every lesson an enjoyable experience by sharing his passion for flying as well as instructing. Being a student can often be a challenging task and he remembers how difficult it can be; therefore, he structures every lesson from the perspective of the student and adapts his training to the individual.

Whether you are interested in pursuing a sport pilot certificate or a career as an airline pilot, Daniel is qualified to provide the training to help you meet your goal!
