to become immediately employable in a dental office upon graduation. It is our objective to offer the best possible education in the shortest possible time consistent with proper educational procedures. Students are accepted regardless of s*x, race, age, and marital status, and religious creed, ethnic or national origin. There are many opportunities available to well-trained individuals in the dental profession. It is our desire to train chair side dental assistants to assume the many positions available in the dental Field. Modern dentistry requires the assistance of dental assistants well-schooled in four-handed or sit down dentistry. It is very difficult for dentists today to treat their patients without proper chair side assistance. The Arizona School of Dental Assisting is dedicated to the ideal of developing efficient, effective dental assistants through a competency-based program.

Remember, when choosing a program make sure you are doing your research on the longevity of the program, Staff, facility and curriculum that is approved by the post secondary school education!
A campus tour should be your #1 go to. Remember, dental assisting is a hands on profession which can not be taught to its potential solely online and the school should offer the hands on/ clinical portion…💁🏻‍♀️

Our hybrid format allows you to handle the heavy lifting of your education through online classes. You will work through 12 comprehensive course modules that cover everything from dental anatomy to OSHA standards. This structure means you can review your lessons while you are at home, giving you the flexibility to learn at a pace that works for you without sacrificing the quality of your training.

Of course, you cannot learn everything behind a screen. To become a great dental assistant, you need to practice clinical training, and that is where the hands-on clinical experience comes in. While you study the theory online, you will simultaneously attend mandatory in-person clinicals. These sessions allow you to practice using dental instruments, dental materials, X-rays, chairside assisting, sterilization, and much more. Learning how to assist a dentist during actual procedures and run the dental back office is key to becoming a successful Dental Assistant. This balance between digital theory and physical practice ensures that you are not just reading about the job, you are actually doing it. Your hands-on training is held on campus one day a week for 12 weeks. Once you complete the clinical training, you will have the confidence to step into any dental office. At this point, you will complete a 40-hour externship in a dental office to complete the program.

Here are some fun facts about the Arizona School of Dental Assisting (ASDA), highlighting our family collaboration and commitment to dental success:

- Pioneering Founders: The school was co-founded by Dr. DiVito, the inventor of the PIPS dental laser—the first dental laser for root canal therapy.
- Established History: Dr. DiVito founded the school in 2001 alongside his sister, Lisa DiVito-Stevenson, over 25 years ago.
- Continually Updated Curriculum: Our success stems from an interactive curriculum originally created by Dr. DiVito and Lisa Stevenson, which is updated yearly.
- Family Leadership: Dr. Robb DiVito, Lisa DiVito-Stevenson’s nephew, is the current consultant and handles the yearly curriculum updates. He is also an ASDA graduate who later attended dental school at UOP. This ongoing collaboration makes ours one of the top 12-week programs in Arizona.
- Generational Involvement: Lisa’s daughters both completed the program and worked in the industry and at the school; Brittany served as Vice President of ASDA, and Whittney served as Program Director. Additionally, Lisa's sister, Bianca, worked in the dental field and served as ASDA's admissions specialist for many years before retiring.
