During our Friday In Service day, our teachers were treated to ice cream floats (thank you Sam’s Club for the donations!), engaged in some team building and continued planning for high levels or learning by creating assessments that will provide them with valuable information on their students.

🌟 Introducing Ms. Langer, Our Family Advocate!🌟
Born in Queens, NYC, Rosanne moved to Arizona for college, determined to pursue her education. Over her 32-year career in GESD, she’s taught grades 2 and 3, served as a librarian at WC Jack, ME Sine, Imes (where her children attended), and retired from Challenger School.
As a Family Advocate, Rosanne is here to help families navigate challenges, offering resources for academic and social support. She’s dedicated to supporting families with attendance and ensuring they have all the tools needed to empower their students. Rosanne is passionate about promoting student achievement and leading literacy programs that uplift both parents and students.
Rosanne is thrilled to join the Burton community and looks forward to working together to support our families and students!🐾

Congratulations to Ms. Martin’s 7th grade homeroom. They had the highest attendance percentage last week, 98.5%! They will hold on to our traveling attendance trophy this week.
Kona Ice is coming! Wednesday, August 21st at dismissal. They will be located on the South field near Marlette Ave. Bring your money to get a cool treat after school. 20% of all sales will go directly to our Student Council.

“Hello everyone, My name is Mr.Morales and I am so excited to be apart of Burton this year! I am thrilled to be your children’s teacher and hope to make a great impact in their life. I plan to make the year a fun one full of lots of learning and new adventures and I can’t wait to see what this year has in store for us. I can’t wait to meet you all soon , but first let me tell you a little bit about myself.
I was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona and have lived here my entire life. I am a first generation college and university graduate from my family. I am proud to say that i have 2 different degrees and they are Criminology and criminal justice (Associates & Bachelors Degree) & Elementary education (Masters degree). I have taught grades such as Spanish, Kinder, and Third Grade in my teaching years (5). I am a huge soccer fan and yes I play soccer as well. I love to watch anime’s and marvel universe movies/cartoons. Finally, I am a dog lover and own 5 dogs.
I am so excited to be a teacher at Burton and for you all to be a part of it. Let’s make the year amazing! “

Ms. Airiel A Millner is thrilled to be joining the team at Glenn F. Burton Elementary School! Originally from the midwest, Ms. Millner has spent much of her life in Tucson Az. She has one teenage child, and mostly splits her time between participating in school activities and hanging out with her cool kiddo!
Ms. Millner holds Bachelor of Arts degrees in Ed. and Elementary Ed. from Prescott College, and a Master of Fine Arts degree in Writing from FullSail University.
Ms. Millner has been a teacher for over ten years, and enjoys the work that she does immensely.
Ms. Millner has a deep love for Music, Theatre, and Dance, and has been singing in various choirs and individually since she was a child. In addition to young people, she adores animals of all kinds and considers herself an advocate for the voiceless in this world!
Welcome to our new 4th grade teacher, Ms. Putz.
My name is Kyla Putz and I’m from Northwest Indiana. I came to Phoenix to get my Bachelors degree is Elementary Education with an emphasis in ESL learning! I also have an associates degree in Psychology, needless to say I love to learn. What I love even more is when I get to share that passion with my students and I cannot wait to do that this year! I also enjoy walking my dog, reading, and traveling. Thank you Burton for bringing me into your community. I can’t wait to see what this year will bring us!
