🍎 Reminder that The Giving Tree is setup in the office right now with apples you can “pick” that represent staff requests. Thank you to the families that have signed out apples so far, staff is excited to see their wishlist come to life and are so appreciative of the support! 🍏

This morning we fulfilled a staff request for a class set of over the chair pockets for a 4th grade class! Thank you for everyone’s support so we can continue to fulfill requests!

🍏 Return the item unwrapped by 3pm on September 17th!

🌳 Here’s how the Giving Tree works:

🍎 TAKE an apple (or more!) for a staff member or gift you’d like to purchase.
📝 SIGN OUT your apple(s) on the provided sign-out sheet so we know which gifts have been claimed.
🎁 PURCHASE the item(s) listed on your apple. Gifts are valued up to $25 each.
📦 RETURN your unwrapped gift(s) to the school by Thursday, September 17th, at the end of the school day.

Every gift, big or small, is a thoughtful way to let our Copperwood staff know how much they are appreciated! ❤️

⚽️ Our next fundraiser is Tuesday evening at Barros and Yogurtini (59th/thunderbird) and a portion of the money will be going to Soccer Goals so we thought we should get an update out to all of you!

🧐 Did you know that last year your PTO Board proposed a long term fundraising goal for a big ticket item for our Charger Community? PTO Members voted in favor of stashing away 10% of each restaurant fundraiser AND voted on what to work towards. Thanks for excercising your vote and supporting our school in this way PTO!

🍽️ As you see announcements for restaurant fundraisers this year, know that 10% will continue to go toward this goal for our NW fields. Occasionally there might be a windfall from bigger fundraisers like Book Fair or Skating that gets us to our goal quicker 🤩

☀️ Good morning Chargers Staff, this one is just for you tomorrow morning!

☕️ PTO will have a coffee station setup for STAFF and ready by 7:30am. There will be hot brewed coffee, iced coffee and a juice option as well. You’ll also find creamers and mini pastries with a side of great appreciation for all you do for Copperwood Elementary elementary!

💙 To our entire Chargers community, thank for supporting PTO so we can bring a variety of great things to the school on a monthly basis! 💛

⏱️ We are just under 48 hours until our 1st FRUIT POP FRIDAY of the new school year! This Friday 8/21 marks the return of Ice Pops for our Chargers at recess 🎉

📋 We have our list of prepaid memberships ready to go by grade level, but wanted to put out one more reminder for any last minute Students that want to get in on the deal! $22 will cover 31 Fridays on the school calendar. That’s a $9 savings 😍 You can also send $1 each Friday, but being on the list avoids having to remember or keep track of things on the playground!

💰Funds raised go right back to our wonderful school 🏫! The PTO runs monthly staff appreciation events or gifts, birthday books for students, snacks at PTO meetings and other reoccurring costs that fundraisers like this support .

🔄We switched to Dye Free this year to comply with state regulations and to make sure we are bringing the BEST to our students. Most Fridays we will have 2 ounce Otterpop brand popsicles available, but will substitute with a comparable offering if needed.

💙 Big thanks to Tammy and our Otterpop crew for their volunteer efforts in carrying on this tradition for our Chargers 💛
