Parent Teacher Student Association Challenger PTSA is here to support our children, our community, and our school.
Our PTSA does many things to help the school throughout the year, most of which requires money (and of course time from our amazing volunteers). We fund many areas of interest to our kids including field trips, in-class presentations, supplies for clubs and sports, events such as Family Movie Night, Paint Night, and much more! This year we have already started planning some exciting fundraisers to

Hello Challenger Families!
Next week, February 3-7, is Say Something Week across Glendale District. Say something week is a national event that aims to prevent school violence by teaching students how to identify and report warning signs. The week also celebrates the importance of trusted adults and upstanders in the community.
At Challenger we are going to celebrate this by encouraging staff and students to participate in spirit week 😊 There will also be activities and lessons happening throughout the school to teach students how to prevent violence and report warning signs!

Hello Challenger Families!
Next week October 21st-October 25th is Red Ribbon Week across Glendale Elementary School District. Red Ribbon Week is all about saying "no" to drugs and making smart, responsible choices to create a happy and healthy life.
We will be raising awareness and engaging students in activities that promote a drug free and healthy lifestyle. Students will learn the dangers of drug and alcohol abuse and be proud to say no to drugs. We are going to have a spirit week to help celebrate and have students and staff participate

PTSA is raising money for 3rd graders field trip. If you would consider donating, any donation that you make, is a tax credit for you. Even $20, you will get a receipt and get the money back on your 2024 tax return.
3rd grade is going to the Science Center on December 19th. There are 115 students who will be attending, and due to us being a Title I school, we are able to get free admission. The only cost we have is the bus, which has now quadrupled in price since we no longer have school buses. The total cost of the trip is $2,850. We were able to get $1,600 covered, so we are still short $1,250.

Tax Time! Here is a Link to make an $800 Tax credit donation. This will act as a dollar for dollar tax credit on your 2024 Arizona income tax return. you will get all of this money back on your return. You choose where your Tax Dollars go! you can specify where PTSA should spend your donation, or we can add it to our general fund.
I can send you a link for any amount you would like to donate. The max is $400 for a single and $800 for a couple each tax year. There is NO Minimum.

Challengers 1st or 4 Teachers Lunches of the year. PTSA is proud to support and treat the Teachers and Staff that work so hard for our children and community. This lunch was Olympic themed with 'French' dip sandwiches and 'French' fries.
Next Lunch is Football Tailgating theme in October.
