We are so excited to partner with this incredible group of parents as we kick off another amazing year at Sunburst! Their enthusiasm, creativity, and heart for our school community are already shining through, and we can’t wait to see all the great things we’ll accomplish together.

Sunburst Elementary's office will reopen on July 23! Our office staff will be available to assist families with registration questions and general information as we prepare for an amazing school year. We can't wait to welcome our Sunburst families back!

🌟 Do you have a future Blazer ready for kindergarten? We'd love to welcome them to the Blazer family. At Sunburst, kindergarten is filled with joyful learning, caring teachers, new friendships, and hands-on experiences that build a strong foundation for years to come. If you have a child who will be 5 years old this fall, now is the perfect time to begin planning for an exciting school year! 💜🧡

🎒 Turns 5 by September 1, 2026? Your child is eligible to enroll in kindergarten.
⭐ Turns 5 between September 2 and December 31, 2026? Your child may be eligible to attend kindergarten through WESD's Early Entry Kindergarten screening process.

If you're already part of the Sunburst family and have a younger child ready to become a Blazer, we encourage you to register as soon as possible!

Today we're proud to recognize Alysia Simpson, our outstanding Instructional Coach at Sunburst Elementary and a truly deserving 2026 Lamp of Learning honoree! 🧡

Alysia is the kind of leader who makes a lasting impact without ever seeking the spotlight. She is a champion for students, a trusted mentor for teachers, and a constant source of encouragement for everyone on our campus. Whether she's analyzing data with teachers, supporting English Learners, modeling instruction, or simply checking in on a student who needs a little extra care, Alysia leads with purpose, compassion, and an unwavering belief that every child can succeed.

Her dedication, humility, and servant leadership make Sunburst a stronger school every day. We are incredibly grateful for the difference she makes in the lives of our students, staff, and families.

Help us welcome our newest Sunburst PTO Board members: Laurel (president), Alex (treasurer) and Lindsey (secretary)! They kicked things off by introducing themselves and treating our staff to a fun summer drink surprise. We’re excited for the energy, positivity, and great ideas they’ll bring to our school community this year! ❤️✨

Celebrating an amazing year with our Student Council! 🎉👏 A big shoutout to Ms. Myers and Mrs. Lester for their incredible leadership, dedication, and hard work in guiding our student leaders throughout the year. From spirit days to special events, they helped create meaningful experiences and unforgettable memories for our school community. Thank you for making such a positive impact on our students and campus!
