Congratulations to all of the 2024 Greenway High School graduates 🎓! 💚💛 We were honored to present this year’s Sunburst PTO Scholarship to Ryan White! Ryan, we wish you the best of luck! Once a Blazer always a Blazer! 💜🧡

Thank you to our volunteers this morning, thank you to those who donated donuts and most of all, thank you to all of our families that joined us bright and early this morning for Donuts with Grownups! 🍩 We love seeing the joy on the kids faces and the parents playing with the giant donut props too!

Thursday, May 9th: Teachers use all different types of tools to make their classroom extra fun and bright.
Flair pens, sticky notes, paper clips, etc. Add a little flair and bring your teacher his/her favorite teacher tool!

Wednesday is handwritten note day! Write a message to your teacher letting them know how much you appreciate them! ✍️ 🗒️ 📝

Book Fair starts tomorrow!
Students will have the chance to visit with their class during school (check with your homeroom teacher for which day) and we will be open during Learning Fair!
Don’t forget to load an eWallet for your student to use your shop the fair.

Are you preparing for Teacher Appreciation Week?! We are! It starts this afternoon with Pure Heart and Chalk the Walk! Bring the kids out to write messages to staff and draw pictures!
A packet with information was sent home with your child last week of some ideas for certain days. Remember, everything is optional and your teachers and staff will appreciate high fives, notes, pictures and hugs too!
If you see a staff member this week make sure to let them know how much you appreciate them!

We still have 8 volunteer spots to fill and 2 of those spots are critical so no volunteer is doing this alone!
If you can volunteer on Tuesday the 7th between 12:45 and 2:30 or Wednesday the 8th between 7:30 and 10:00 we could really use your help!
As a reminder, volunteers will have the opportunity to receive a voucher for the fair! The amount of the voucher depends upon the amount of slots worked!

The book fair is coming up soon and we still need more volunteers!
Volunteers will be eligible for a voucher to use at the fair! The more time slots you can help at the more the voucher will be worth!
This will be a busy fair since EVERY student will be able to pick out a book so the more helpers we have the better!!

Friday, May 17th from 6:30-7:15 AM (before school) for Donuts with Grown Ups! This is a FREE event for our families but we do ask that you register for the event so we can plan accordingly!

Join us Wednesday, May 1st at Raising Cane’s at 59th Avenue and Thunderbird for our last Restaurant Night of the 2023/2024 school year! We cannot believe there are only a few weeks left of school!

PTO Election Meeting TONIGHT! We are still looking for a nominee for Treasurer.
PTO Stratosphere Jump Night this Friday!

PTO Board elections are on Wednesday, 4/17.
We are still looking for a candidate for the Treasurer position. No accounting or finance background necessary. If you like numbers and can keep track of a budget, reach out and let us know! This position does require a time commitment but most can be done in your free time.
The board MUST have a President, Secretary and Treasurer in order to conduct business.
Without a treasurer we run the risk of going dormant for the 2024-2025 school year and we would hate for that to happen!

This will be a general meeting as well as an Election Meeting for 24/25 school year Board Members!

The Sunburst Art room is looking for about 30 empty paper towel rolls before Friday! If you have any please drop them by the front office soon!
