Congratulations to Horizon Fifth-Grade Student Atoosa!

Glendale Councilmember Luipe Conchas made a surprise visit to reveal that Atoosa was a winner in the America250 Essay Contest. Hosted by the City of Glendale Office of Arts & Culture as part of the America250 celebration, the contest invited Glendale fifth graders to share why they love the United States.

Atoosa received a certificate and a $25 gift card from Councilmember Conchas. She is now in the running as one of six to win the overall citywide essay contest this summer.
