Last Thursday, I had the opportunity to pop into Barcelona Elementary School to see operations on campus during this pandemic/virtual learning time. It was great to meet with the staff and to see first hand what a school day looked like for the few students who we're on campus, and also for the staff members teaching and working from campus.
It was a sobering reminder of the differences from this year to our last years - the lack of students in the classrooms and on the fields was quite jarring, but serve to show the importance of our semi-normal operations during this tough time.
Thank you to the Barcelona team for allowing me to intrude for a few minutes, and to even offer a message to your community on the morning announcements - click below to check it out!
