🗺️✨ Mapping Our Community! ✨🗺️

Our 1st grade scholars in Mrs. Ziegler's class learned all about maps through our new reading curriculum this week! 📚🌎 Their amazing teacher took their learning one step further by making a real-life connection and having students create their very own maps of places in their community. 🏫🏠🏪🌳

Students had so much fun drawing, labeling, and thinking about the important places they know and visit. Even better, they were able to explain their maps and share their thinking with others! 🗣️💡

We love seeing our students make meaningful connections between what they learn in the classroom and the world around them! 🌟

We are so excited to have her join our team! She brings an incredible 16 years of experience as a School Psychologist. She is passionate about supporting our special education students and their families. She is looking forward to working alongside students, families, and staff to help every child feel supported, valued, and successful by helping them reach their full potential. 🌟📚

With an incredible 15 years of teaching experience at Barcelona Elementary School, he brings a wealth of knowledge, experience, and dedication to our students and staff.

History came to life in Mrs. Shawcroft's classroom during social studies....

Our students took part in an engaging Gallery Walk as they explored the Paleolithic vs. Neolithic Eras!

Students created brochures showcasing the era they would prefer to live in and then walked around the room to check out their classmates' work. They shared positive feedback, ideas, and thoughtful comments with one another.

It was amazing to see our students learning from each other, sharing their creativity, and making history FUN!
