Yesterday our 5th graders made solar ovens & made s’mores. Thank you Barro's Pizza for the donations of pizza boxes.

Thursday night is our Leadership Night on campus from 5:45-7:00 pm. All of our students will be showcasing something from their classroom, there will be a food truck for dinner, an art installation that we want all our students & families to add to it, student speeches and more!

April spirit day-Decade Day. Mrs. Furtmann’s 1st graders won the spirit stick with 75% spirit. May 10 is our last one of the school year-crazy hair day.

Our final Battle of the Books was today! Great job 6th graders Katerina, Dhani & Sam who took 1st place & will represent Mountain Shadows in the district battle in a month. 📚

Since SOMEONE was missing at our silly string PTSA assembly, Dr. Gilbert and PTSA President, Andrea Simmons Core, decided she could have her own surprise! Sorry, Mrs. Yanez 😆

Our leaders had some special guests today. These high school athletes read them stories in their classrooms! These athletes come from Mountain Ridge, where they play volleyball and one dances. Special thanks to Mrs. Teran for setting this up!

Monday is the kick off for our Read Across America Spirit week, it's "Cat in the Hat" themed day so wear a hat. There are fun activities planned all week. Please use this week to sit down and read a book with your child, no matter their age they will love it.

Chick-fil-A night is tonight. Come support our wonderful PTSA.

Today’s assembly with Cory Greenwood was energizing! His message to our leaders was you already have what it takes to change the world! Be proud of who you and he talked about not worrying about what others think. Great message to remember! 🥰
