5B had a great first week in school. Ms. Hallinan has kept the kids busy with reviewing summer reading and learning the seven continent song. These newly middle school knights are excited about this year!

🍧 A Sweet Start to the School Year! 🍧

Dr. Lowry was so proud of how wonderfully our students did this week that he decided they deserved a little surprise! He treated our students to popsicles and shared a few words of encouragement as we celebrated a fantastic first week together.

We are off to a great start, and we couldn’t be more proud of our students and teachers!

Today, we welcomed our Kindergarten students back to school. We also celebrated our first school mass prepared by 8A. It has been a great first week of school for our knights!

🏈 **Third Grade is Ready for Some Football!** 🏈

Today, our **3rd Grade students held their very own NFL Draft!** Each student selected an NFL team that they will follow throughout the season.

As the season progresses, our students will track their teams’ **wins, losses, points scored, and points allowed**. They’ll put their math skills into action by creating **charts and graphs, comparing data, and completing mathematical operations** using real NFL statistics! 📊➕➖✖️

What a fun way to bring **real-world learning into the classroom** and get our young mathematicians excited about working with numbers!

Of course, there’s only one way we hope this project ends…

There’s nothing better than seeing our hallways and classrooms filled with our students again!

This morning, our STA Knights arrived with backpacks packed, smiles shining, and plenty of excitement as we officially kicked off a brand-new school year at St. Thomas the Apostle School!

We are so excited for all that this year will bring—new friendships, new challenges, lots of learning, and countless opportunities to grow in faith, knowledge, kindness, and service.

May God bless our students, teachers, staff, and families as we begin this journey together.
