🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️ The Healthy Kids Running Series is coming to Concord Township this fall!

Families with children from Pre-K through 8th grade are invited to participate in this fun, five-week running series at the Garnet Valley Middle School Football Field. Race distances are designed by age group, giving runners of all experience levels a chance to get active, build confidence, and have fun!

📅 Sundays: September 13, September 27, October 4, October 18 & October 25

Participants who register for the full series receive a T-shirt, and all runners receive medals during Week 5.

Our transportation team is officially moving its fleet of buses to the Pennington Building. This new space is much better suited to support our drivers, staff, and fleet, and we’re excited to begin this new chapter for GV Transportation!

At last night’s School Board meeting, we had the opportunity to recognize and celebrate several members of the Garnet Valley family as they begin an exciting new chapter in retirement.

🦅 Congratulations to Eagle Scout Connor Joseph Criswell!

Garnet Valley School District is proud to recognize Connor Joseph Criswell, a Garnet Valley High School Class of 2026 graduate, for achieving the prestigious rank of Eagle Scout with Troop 260.

For his Eagle Scout service project, Connor designed and built two picnic tables and two benches for Beaver Valley Park in Concord Township, creating a lasting resource for our community. Connor also holds the distinction of becoming the 114th Eagle Scout in the history of Troop 260.

Congratulations, Connor, on this outstanding achievement! Your leadership, dedication, and commitment to service make the Garnet Valley community proud.

In the newest U.S. News & World Report rankings, GVHS is ranked among the Top 1,000 high schools in the nation for the first time!

🏆 #941 nationally — up 723 spots from #1,664
🏆 #34 in Pennsylvania — up from #58
🏆 #25 in the Philadelphia Metro Area — up from #36
⭐ Overall score: 94.76, up from 90.7

While rankings can never capture everything that makes a school special and are influenced by many factors beyond a school’s control, we are incredibly proud of this recognition and what it represents.

This achievement reflects the collective efforts of our students, teachers, staff, families, and community. The relationships our educators build, the expectations they set, and the support they provide our students every day are at the heart of Garnet Valley.

Dear Incoming 9th Grade Students and Families,

During 9th Grade Orientation on Wednesday, August 19, from 9:00–11:00 a.m., all incoming freshmen will receive their school-issued MacBook.

MacBook distribution will take place in the Garnet Valley High School gym at the conclusion of orientation. Before leaving for the day, students will be directed to the gym to pick up their device and any related materials.

Students should plan to remain for the full orientation program so they do not miss the distribution process. Additional information about device use, care, account access, and technology support will be shared during orientation and at pickup.

We look forward to welcoming the Class of 2030 to Garnet Valley High School and helping every student begin the school year prepared for success.
