College of DuPage recently celebrated the launch of the Center for Civic Engagement and Public Humanities, a new initiative dedicated to connecting learning, leadership and community. Faculty, staff, students, community leaders and local officials gathered to mark the occasion and share a vision for building stronger, healthier and more connected communities.
More than a physical space, the Center serves as a framework for bringing together service, volunteerism, civic dialogue, community partnerships, and public humanities initiatives across the College. Through hands-on experiences and community engagement, the Center helps students connect classroom learning with real-world impact while fostering informed citizenship and lifelong learning.
