We provide no information regarding anger and aggression and where it comes from, what parts of the brain are responsible, so we continue to struggle for consistent results with only one response โ€“ command and controlโ€ฆ ๐จ๐ซ ๐ฐ๐จ๐ซ๐ฌ๐ž ๐ฒ๐ž๐ญ โ€ฆ ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ž ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐Ÿ๐จ๐ซ๐œ๐ž.
Nowhere is this more apparent than the discussion regarding Force and De-Escalation. We argue over these terms, yet ษดแด แดษดแด‡ sแด‡แด‡แดs แด›แด แด‹ษดแดแดก the legal definition of either.

Town Marshal Brad Fisher, who served the Lynn, IN community for 25 years as a Town Marshal, firefighter, EMT and Street Superintendent, was killed while deploying a tire deflation device in an attempt to stop a fleeing stolen vehicle that hit him as it passed. He leaves behind his wife and two children.

Master Deputy Jillian Olson, a five-year veteran of the Lexington County (SC) Sheriff's Department, was killed during a routine underwater training exercise. She was a member of the departmentโ€™s dive team since 2024 and had more than 100 hours of underwater experience.

Officer Austin Abdelnabi, a U.S. Marine Corps veteran and two-year member of the Las Vegas Metro Police Department, was fatally shot while responding to an intoxicated armed subject call. As he and other officers approached the scene, the gunman opened fire, striking Officer Abdelnabi.

Deputy Burlie W. Duvall, III with the Appomattox County (VA) Sheriffโ€™s Office was killed while helping at the scene of a vehicle crash. He and another deputy were returning to their station when they encountered the incident. As they were working, an approaching tractor-trailer swerved to miss emergency vehicles and struck Deputy Duvall. He leaves behind his wife, three children, nine siblings, his parents and maternal grandparents and nine nieces and nephews.

Deputy Betty Uriegas, a nine-year veteran of the Hall County (GA) Sheriffโ€™s Office, succumbed to injuries she received in a single-vehicle crash in August, 1994. While patrolling during a storm related to Tropical Storm Beryl, Deputy Uriegas observed a group of people on private property. While turning around to investigate, she heard gunfire and hydroplaned into a tree. The accident resulted in a broken neck that paralyzed her. She died more than 30 years later after suffering a pulmonary failure related to her injuries. Deputy Uriegas, who carried the Olympic Torch at the 1996 Atlanta Paralympic Games, leaves behind her husband, daughter, son, her mother, two sisters, nieces, nephews and two grandchildren.

Deputy U.S. Marshal Drew Hanson, who had served with the U.S. Marshals Service for six years after previously serving with the U.S. Border Patrol, ICE, the Ocean Springs (MS) Police Department, the Mississippi DOT, and the Gulfport Police Department, was fatally shot while he and other deputies were attempting to arrest a man wanted for sexual battery. When they entered the home the suspect was in, he barricaded himself in a bedroom and opened fire when the deputies approached. Deputy Hanson leaves behind his wife and two children.

Deputy Sheriff Adam Heitman, a U.S. Marine Corps veteran who served with the Creek County (OK) Sheriffโ€™s Office for four years after formerly serving with the Kiefer (OK) Police Department, died as the result of a medical emergency he suffered after he and his K-9 partner pursued and captured a fleeing suspect that he and other officers were attempting to serve multiple felony warrants on. He had returned to the station after the pursuit, and less than an hour later, he suffered a medical emergency, and despite attempts at life-saving measures, he passed away that evening. Deputy Heitman leaves behind his wife and two daughters.

Trooper Michael Pahira, a 20-year veteran of the Pennsylvania State Police, was killed when a tractor-trailer hit his patrol unit while he was inspecting another vehicle on the side of a highway. The force of the impact pushed the vehicle Trooper Pahira was inspecting forward and trapped him underneath. The tractor-trailer then caught fire. Trooper Pahira leaves behind his parents and his sister.

Sergeant Scott Ries, a 10-year veteran of the Rittman (OH) Police Department, who previously served with the Wayne County Sheriffโ€™s Office as well as the Sugar Grove Police Department, was shot while responding to a shots fired call with officers from three additional agencies. On arrival, officers were immediately fired upon. Sgt. Ries, four other deputies, and a police K-9 were hit. Sgt. Ries leaves behind his wife and two daughters, his mother, brother, and a niece and a nephew.
