“It’s Just Us” is a site-specific sculpture installation reflecting on our individual and collective responsibility for our environment. The hand-carved stone figure representing Everyman gazes down on a mandala of large wampum beads carved from fossil stone and composed in concentric circles with sea shells, pine cones, and wood chips. The mandala focuses our attention on the many layers of connection on our planet and is a visual focal point for reflection and healing.
The sculpture installation is a collaboration by Nizette Brennan, Leonardo Bruno, Dianne Crosby and Cat Lukens and is now on exhibit at the Stone Carving yurt at Glen Echo Park.
