📘🎉 IT’S HERE! Presenting the 2025 JMHS Yearbook Cover! 🎉📘

After a week filled with memories, Monarch pride, and powerful stories from alumni who returned home, we’re proud to reveal this year’s theme:

✨ "You'll Always Find Your Way Back Home." ✨

This year’s book honors the places, people, and moments that make JMHS feel like home—whether you're walking these halls for the first time or finding your way back years later.

English Teacher and JMHS Alumna Mrs. Jennifer Yates captures that feeling beautifully:

"I was 10 years old when my father became principal here at JM. I feel I've been a part of the school ever since! My decision to teach here was obvious after witnessing the determination and pride my father put into his work as the principal of JM. JM received many state and national awards during his 20 years of service. The faculty and staff really made the students feel that they cared for us and went out of their way to prepare us to be successful in life. I knew I wanted to help students leave high school with the same feelings."

Some places don’t just leave a mark—they stay with you. And if you’re lucky, you get to return to them with even more love than when you left. 💙🎶

Mrs. Janel Armstrong, JMHS Communities In Schools Site Coordinator and proud alum, shares:

"I am honored to be an employee and alumni of John Marshall High School. I have so many wonderful memories during my time here as a student, and now as a staff member. John Marshall has always seemed like home to me. The students and staff are one big family. While I was a student, I was a member of the Marching Monarchs. Some of my closest friendships were formed while in the band. I am lucky to be able to work somewhere I have loved for many years!"

What makes JMHS more than just a school? The people who walk these halls—and the ones who return to them. 🏫💛

Art Teacher and JMHS Alumni Mrs. Ashley Cottrill shares:

"It is amazing working at John Marshall and it might be better right now than it has ever been. John Marshall has great leadership and so many staff members that truly care about everyone regardless of where they came from and what they bring with them. I have worked in a lot of schools and this place is top notch. I love it now, just as much as I loved it when I was a student here, if not more. It is a special place, a great place to be for sure!"

📸 Get ready to strike your best pose! School Picture Makeup and Retake Day is officially... drumroll... THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 13! 🎉🎊

Whether you blinked, sneezed, or didn’t love your first photo, this is your second chance to rock that yearbook picture! If you are getting a retake and want new prints, you MUST bring your original prints with you. If you do not bring them, you will need to pay for the new prints.

New order envelopes can be picked up in Room 242. See you there! 💁‍♀️
