Creative Care Daycare/Preschool

Hello everyone,

First off, just want to say how much I miss the daycare and getting to see everyone every day and the smiles on all the kids face when they come running through those doors at the crack of dawn!

I have seen some of you here and there when out and about. I keep telling everyone I am going to get everyone together for a little reunion. So here I am finally owning up to my word. I want to rent out one of the pavilions at Joe Glik park in Edwardsville. Everyone and anyone who has attended daycare is welcome. This includes the ”grown up” kids too, I know we tried to keep all the school aged kids close with them all coming during the summer, so want them to be able to see each as well.

Grandparents and other siblings are welcome as well, I obviously want to see the kids but also want to be able to catch up with all the families as well and know everyone will enjoy seeing everyone and catching up. So spread the word and try to let me know if you will be able to make it or not so I can have a little head count for food preparation.

Haha I guess you guys would like to know a time… This will be Sunday, November 6th, I will have a pavilion rented out from 12-4, so feel free to come and leave whenever needed.

The day has come, as some of you know, I am closing down the daycare. Very bitter sweet day, I wish all the kids a smooth transition to their new daycares. I have so many memories from what I have done over the past 4 years. One of the many things that I have learned from my experience running the daycare is that my mother was truly an amazing person to be able to do this for the 25+ years that she did it. We all know how amazing she was but my experience has just really put her on a whole different level. I loved doing this and loved seeing all the kids grow while I was able to provide for them, but I am running out of steam and just need to find something else so that I can be the best father some day and husband. Thanks to all the parents who put their trust in me and helped with keeping my mother’s legacy alive as long as possible.

We had the best time eating cake and ice cream Thursday for Lucas’s 2nd birthday party! He has his one eyed smile down!

We trapped the leprechaun but once again the he was too sneaky and mischievous and escaped our trap, maybe next year we will get him!!

Did some organizing on this rainy day, the kids always say we don’t have any toys....
