💛 Friendship, One Bead at a Time! 📿

Our classes are celebrating the final days of summer by creating friendship bracelets to give to a special friend! ☀️

As our little learners carefully chose and threaded each bead, they weren't just creating a sweet keepsake—they were practicing fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, creativity, and making choices along the way.

Best of all, each bracelet is a little reminder of the friendships and fun we've shared this summer at Lightbridge Academy. 🌱💕

At Lightbridge, we believe being part of a community means showing up for it — supporting children and families both inside and outside of our Center. 💙

✨ A little magic to end our week! 🎩🪄

Our Older Toddlers, Preschool and Pre-K friends were treated to a very special visit from a magician from Mickey the Magician’s team! For an entire hour, our children laughed, participated and watched in amazement as the magic unfolded right before their eyes. ✨

Experiences like this are one of our favorite parts of bringing learning—and a little extra fun—to life at Lightbridge Academy! 💙

And where do you put on a magic show for a whole group of very excited little ones? Our Multipurpose Room!

This special space gives our children so many opportunities beyond their classrooms. It becomes a place to run, move and play when the weather keeps us indoors, a gathering space for special visitors and community events, and—every once in a while—the perfect stage for a little magic. 🪄

Because childhood should be filled with experiences that make you wonder, laugh and say, “HOW did they do that?!” 😂✨

We love creating these special memories for our Lightbridge children!

We were so excited to welcome Ms. United States to Lightbridge Academy today for a very special visit with our students!

Our Preschool and Pre-K friends gathered for story time as she read Be Kind — sharing a wonderful message about kindness, friendship, and the importance of how we treat one another. 💛

She also stopped by to visit some of our littlest learners in our toddler classrooms, making the morning extra special throughout our school! 🥰

As we begin a new school year with our theme, Ready, Set, Grow! 🌱, we’re reminding our children that growing isn’t just about what we learn — it’s also about growing into kind, confident, caring friends.

A huge thank you to Ms. United States for spending the morning with our Lightbridge family, and to Portrait Reflections, our Fall Picture Day partner, for helping make this special visit possible! 📸👑

🐠🪼 A little messy... and a whole lot of learning! 💙✨

Our Orange Giraffes toddlers transformed the classroom into an underwater sensory adventure this week!

As part of our Aquarium Dramatic Play experience, the children explored colorful Jell-O while discovering hidden sea creatures beneath the squishy surface. They searched, squeezed, scooped, poked, and laughed as they rescued their aquatic animals and created their very own aquarium.

While it may have looked like simple fun, this hands-on sensory experience supported so many important developmental skills, including:
🌊 Fine motor development through grasping and manipulating the sea animals
🐟 Sensory exploration by experiencing different textures and temperatures
🪸 Language development as teachers introduced new ocean vocabulary and encouraged conversation
🐙 Imaginative play by pretending to be aquarium workers and animal caretakers
🧠 Scientific thinking through exploration, observation, and cause-and-effect learning

At Lightbridge Academy, we know that some of the best learning happens when children are free to explore with their hands, their imaginations, and all of their senses.

Sometimes learning gets a little messy... and we wouldn't have it any other way! 💙🐠

Today, our classrooms may have been quiet—but our teachers were hard at work!

Our team came together for our annual Professional Development Day, investing in the knowledge, skills, and collaboration that help make Lightbridge Academy such a special place for children to learn and grow.

This year's theme, Ready. Set. Grow!, reminds us that great schools never stop learning. Throughout the day, our educators participated in engaging workshops focused on:

🌿 Building meaningful relationships with children
🌿 Creating engaging classroom environments
🌿 Supporting every child's individual development
🌿 Collaborating as one team to provide exceptional care and education

One of our favorite reminders from today's training:
"Play is the primary vehicle for learning." Through purposeful interactions, thoughtful questions, and engaging experiences, our teachers help transform everyday moments into meaningful learning opportunities.

We are incredibly proud of this dedicated team for spending the day learning, reflecting, laughing together, and preparing for another amazing school year. The investment we make in our educators is an investment in every child who walks through our doors.
