Welcome back to our “Pawsome” GAES teachers and staff! Thanks GAES PTA Hospitality for treating everyone to breakfast this morning!

We are so excited for our staff to return for teacher work week, and even more excited for our Cubs bring life to this building very soon!

The summer rains have sparked a lot of growth in the plant life at GAES, and we need help from our families to make sure the campus is in prime condition to start the year! Our GAES "Garden Club" is hosting a Community Clean Up Day this Saturday, August 15th at 9:00AM!

Your hands, tools, and willingness to get a little dirty to start the year are all deeply appreciated!

The first signup on the firm is this Saturday and we would really love some help to start the new school year off great! Bring your kids and garden tools and let’s get Glen Allen looking beautiful!

We will have some consistent needs, like weeding and clearing out garden beds and sidewalk cracks, as well as some seasonal projects like harvesting our Learning Garden with fresh her...

The Yearbook Signing Party has been moved to the cafeteria at GAES. Con Salsa will still be there if you want to purchase food and we will have popsicles for the kids! We hope to see you there!

It's Teacher Appreciation Week at GAES! May 4–8, we're celebrating the incredible teachers, staff, and faculty who make every day special for our kids. Here's what we have in store:

Monday: Nacho bar fiesta provided by GAES Admin — "You Guac Our World!" 🌮

Tuesday: Treat your teacher to a gift card or their favorite snack/beverage ☕ Room Parents are coordinating

Wednesday: Baked potato & salad bar lunch from GAES PTA 🥔

Thursday: Handwritten notes from the heart ✉️

Friday: Gelati Celesti ice cream to wrap up the week! 🍦 Room parents are coordinating ways to celebrate Teacher's Favorite Things!
