Partnership for the Future is a college access and success organization celebrating 30 years of impacting the Richmond community.

Students are at the center of what we do at Partnership for the Future. Through PFF, local high school students are provided with college prep courses, personal development workshops, one-on-one counseling and savings incentives. With the help of our business and university partners, we arrange college visits and workplace internships for our students to help them easily transition from high schoo

From walking campus to imagining life as college students, our Level 3 (rising high school seniors) students traveled to Washington, D.C., where they toured Howard University and George Washington University; experiencing college life firsthand and connecting with each campus’s unique community.

Every college visit helps our students dream bigger, ask new questions, and take one step closer to their future.🎓💫

The greatest measure of our impact isn't found in statistics, it's found in the students whose lives have been transformed along the way.

Watch and listen as our Class of 2026 high school graduates share what Partnership for the Future has meant to them and how the program has helped prepare them for college, careers, and beyond.

Growth happens outside your comfort zone.

Our Level 2 students (rising HS Juniors) recently took on a team-building ropes challenge, where every climb, obstacle, and encouragement from a teammate helped build confidence, trust, communication, and resilience.

The lessons learned reached far beyond the course, and will stay with them long after the harnesses and helmets came off.

Thank you to Challenge Discovery for creating an unforgettable experience for our students!

More than a game. A pathway to opportunity.

We recently partnered with First Tee - Greater Richmond for "Tee Up Your Future", an interactive experience that introduced our collegiate students to the game of golf while building professional confidence, networking skills, and meaningful connections.

Students learned golf fundamentals, course etiquette, and how the game can open doors both on and off the course. A heartfelt thank you to First Tee – Greater Richmond and the volunteers who gave their time, expertise, and encouragement to our students.

Institute Week is where confidence grows, friendships are built, and futures begin to take shape.

From leadership development and team building to college readiness and personal growth, this experience equips our students with the skills and mindset to thrive long after the week ends.

A special thank you to William & Mary for hosting this year's Institute Week and partnering with us to inspire the next generation of leaders.

Join us in celebrating Jasmine Lewis, a recent graduate of Richmond Community High School, who has been awarded a prestigious $10,000 CGCS–Peters Pharis Foundation Math and Science Scholarship! This fall, Jasmine will begin her journey at North Carolina A&T, where she plans to major in Civil Engineering.

The scholarship program, sponsored by the Peters Pharis Foundation in partnership with the Council, was designed for outstanding urban high school students, particularly those who are the first in their family to attend college, and who plan to pursue STEM studies at a four-year college or university in the fall.

We are incredibly proud of Jasmine and can't wait to see all she accomplishes in this next chapter. 💙💛🎓

Today, on Juneteenth, we celebrate and honor a legacy of freedom, resilience, and the power of opportunity.

As we reflect on this important day, we're also reminded that exactly one month ago, on May 19, we gathered at The Jefferson Hotel for our inaugural Igniting Futures Breakfast.

The morning was a powerful celebration of possibility, bringing together supporters, community leaders, corporate partners, volunteers, alumni, students, and friends who share a belief that every student deserves the opportunity to thrive.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to:
- Our generous presenting sponsor, TowneBank.
- The dedicated team at The Jefferson Hotel for their outstanding hospitality.
- Our inspiring speakers who shared their stories.
- Our staff and volunteers whose hard work made the event possible.
- And every guest who joined us and invested in the futures of our students.

One month later, we remain inspired by the energy in the room and the collective commitment to igniting futures for generations to come.

Thank you for believing in our students. Thank you for investing in their potential. Thank you for helping us create opportunities that change lives.
