๐ŸŽ“ Cap & Gown Day at KPLA ๐ŸŽ“

This time of year is always filled with so much excitement. I get sentimental about these wonderful, amazing children leaving our nest, but I know they're ready. They are kind, thoughtful, and curious learners. Confident and brave, they have the skills, personality, and determination to tackle anything that comes their way.

Watching them grow from little learners into school-ready leaders has been one of our greatest joys.

While we'll miss their smiles, hugs, and daily adventures, we are so proud of all they have accomplished.

It's not how Monday begins, but how it ends...

We had a new friend start this morning-- curious, but cautious...holding back just a bit (totally normal)โ€ฆ and by the end of the day? Hugs, bubbly giggles, and all in. I never get tired of watching that shift happen. It wows me every time. โค๏ธ

Then I got some news that honestly humbled me--Iโ€™ve been nominated for the Child Care Aware Heart of Service Award. Wow โค๏ธโค๏ธ To be seen like that, for something that truly comes from my heartโ€ฆ Iโ€™m just really grateful.

And on top of that, today kicked off Teacher Appreciation Week, and I was gifted the sweetest notes and little surprises. The kind you hold onto for the tough days.

This work isnโ€™t always easyโ€ฆ but today was a reminder that it matters. Deeply.

Kinder Prep Learning Academy is seeking a warm, dependable Early Childhood Teacher (Assistant or Lead, based on experience) to join our team.

We are a licensed, award-winning preschool offering a high-quality, play-based program for children ages 2โ€“5.

Our approach blends child-led exploration with intentional teacher-guided learning, with a strong focus on social-emotional development, STREAM experiences, and hands-on engagement.

$17โ€“$18+ per hour (based on experience)

Low teacher-to-child ratios

Today, we explored Ghana and dove into the rich culture and traditions through hands-on experiences and joyful learning:

โœจ Explored the bold patterns and meaning of Kente cloth
๐Ÿฅ Felt the rhythm with djembe drums and the soothing sounds of the kalimba
๐Ÿฆ’ Created giraffe crafts while learning about animals of the savannah
๐ŸŽถ Sang and moved to call-and-response songs like Toom Bah Ee Lero and Che Che Kule
๐Ÿš And of courseโ€ฆ we tasted a jollof rice!

Moments like these remind us that learning goes beyond booksโ€”itโ€™s about connection, culture, and curiosity.

Day 3 of Spirit Week was Wacky Wednesday, and goodnessโ€ฆ what a silly, joyful, be-yourself kind of day it was!

From mismatched outfits and wild hair to giggles that filled the room, our little learners truly embraced the spirit of the day...be yourself and live out loud.

Yesterday reminded us that sometimes the best learning happens when weโ€™re laughing, being silly, and letting our personalities shine โค๏ธ
