HAPPY BLACK HISTORY MONTH FROM SJB!!đ¤â¤ď¸đ
Take a look at our link tree in our bio to check out all the exciting events for this month.
Highlighting this year's theme:
The 2025 Black History Month theme, âAfrican Americans and Labor,â is a powerful reflection on the pivotal role that the hard work of African Americans has played in shaping our countryâs history. This theme underscores the diverse and significant ways in which laborâwhether voluntary or involuntary, skilled or unskilledâhas been at the core of the Black American experience. From the agricultural labor of enslaved Africans, which was foundational to the economic systems of this country, to the prosperous establishment of âBlack Wall Streetâ which was a demonstration of the brilliance and resilient abilities of black corporate collaboration, this theme highlights how work has been central to both survival and empowermentâ.

H.E.F. SPOTLIGHT
Last Saturday, we honored the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. through service! We want to recognize our amazing mentors and mentees in the Dr. Harley E. Flack Student Mentoring Program, who joined together to give back to our community in meaningful ways.
Special shoutout to our very own H.E.F. Mentor, Laila Edwards, who moderated the MLK Fireside Chat with Mrs. Melissa Murray.
