Join SOUL for “Ctrl + Alt + Include,” event a dynamic conversation on how we can reshape technology both at Rowan and beyond to be more inclusive of Q***r women. We will explore how biases show up in tech spaces, share practical tips for more equitable design, and discuss ways to foster belonging for all. Come ready to learn, connect, and spark change! The event takes place on 03/04 at 6 pm in Hawthorn Hall 214—all are welcome.

Starting this Thursday at 6 PM, THE SHOP IS launching a FREE shuttle from The Shop Pantry & Resource Center to local grocery spots that carry culturally specific foods and specialty items that might not be available here or local markets in Glassboro.

Each week, The Shop head to a different location, so you can stock up on what you really need. The ride is on us—grocery purchases are on you.

We’re thrilled to bring back this powerful event during Black History Month! This year’s theme, “Black and White,” explores beauty through black-and-white imagery, capturing the pure essence and artistry of beauty beyond color contrast.

-Special Guest Speaker: St. Clair Detrick-Jules—an award-winning filmmaker, photographer, author, and activist whose work centers Black liberation, immigrant justice, and women’s rights.

Highlighting this year's theme:

The 2025 Black History Month theme, “African Americans and Labor,” is a powerful reflection on the pivotal role that the hard work of African Americans has played in shaping our country’s history. This theme underscores the diverse and significant ways in which labor—whether voluntary or involuntary, skilled or unskilled—has been at the core of the Black American experience. From the agricultural labor of enslaved Africans, which was foundational to the economic systems of this country, to the prosperous establishment of “Black Wall Street” which was a demonstration of the brilliance and resilient abilities of black corporate collaboration, this theme highlights how work has been central to both survival and empowerment”.

Today, we honor , a celebration of choice, empowerment and the beauty of diversity . The hijab symbolizes faith, identity and resilience for muslim women around the world. Let’s continue to foster understanding, respect, and unity across all cultures and beliefs for our Profs at Rowan and Beyond.
