It has been a week full of farewells and new beginning in the ELP. First with our Summer Semester Graduation on the Glassboro Campus which included a student enrolled in our partnership summerbl program with İstinye Üniversitesi. Zeynep, gave a heartfelt speech about her experience with us (We'll miss you, too!) and our Level 5 graduate, Jasmin, will start a degree in Finance in the Spring 2027 semester using Amazon funds. In addition, we ended the week our first Academic English Bootcamp! Most participants will start college in the fall - three have been accepted to Rutgers-Camden, two are going to Camden County Community College, and one will be returning to the ELP for more preparation before starting classes at Rowan in Spring 2027.

Sude, Selin, and Zeynep from our Turkish university partners İstinye Üniversitesi and Doğuş Üniversitesi have become great additions to our ELP family! We are so glad to have spent these past few weeks with Sude and Selin (we get Zeynep for a little longer) and hope to have them return to us soon! Thinking about joining us in September?! Our Summer AI Program visitors, ELP, and School of Veterinary Medicine international scholars took a day trip to Washington, D.C. The perfectly beautiful day included lots of photo ops...including one with two of our ELP short-term students from Doğuş Üniversitesi. I also ate out with Kate, our Assistant Director for International Students and Scholar Services at Eatopia Eatery and had delicious Ethiopian food. We returned full 😋 of wonderful memories!

Sadly, it is time to say goodbye to our İstinye Üniversitesi guests from 🇹🇷 Gulsah Erdas and Erdem Aydemir, who spent two fabulous weeks with us, observing classes and writing papers. In their final presentation, they provided an in depth comparision of our two programs and their takeaways from the experience. It is our hope that even more teachers will join us for our Teaching Training program next summer. It was truly a wonderful experience, and they are welcome to come back anytime!
