Behind every production, there is so much work happening long before opening night. 🎭

Some of our students have been hard at work repairing the stage curtains, which are old and have lost the chains that help them hang and move properly. It may not be the glamorous side of theatre, but it is such an important part of caring for our stage and making sure our performance space is ready for the magic ahead.

At the same time, some of our cast members have also started dreaming up the world of Mary Poppins — working on set design ideas and beginning to select costumes for the production.

Students entering 8th grade - seniors:

Open stage is held in the HS Auditorium on Mondays from 4-6pm through the summer! Any student interested in joining the drama department (either on cast or as a crew member) is welcome to join us!

We work on stage projects, start design and build work for next years show and take time to hang out and get to know each other!

We had a great dance class with the teachers from MDAA-Montana Dance Arts Association!!! We so appreciate their expertise and taking the time to teach us some killer dance moves! HARK!

Senior Spotlight: James Pearson

James has participated in the Drama Department for 3 years, playing Lumiere in Beauty and the Beast, Lazar Wolf in Fiddler on the Roof, and the Cowardly Lion in The Wizard of Oz.

As for future plans, he’s heading off to the United States Army as an enlisted.

What has he learned from the drama department? He’s learned the valuable lessons of teamwork and clear communication. Alongside the experience of family and community. This department is truly unlike anything I’ve experienced.

Congrats, James! We’re so proud of all of your hardwork! Good luck on all of your future adventures! We can’t wait to see all of the amazing things your future holds! ❤️🐾🎭🌈🌪️🎩👠🧹

We have loved having our 2nd grade munchkins as a part of our production! Come see the full cast and crew this weekend at GHS Auditorium!!

The Glasgow Schools Drama Productions came and presented a few songs in advance of their Wizard of Oz play this weekend.
Pictured here…they brought up a few of our 2nd graders to perform with them during Irle Elementary School lunch time. Pretty cool! 😎

One of my favorite places in the world is the hair and makeup studio backstage. We see every student for at least a couple minutes before each show. It makes my heart so happy ❤️
