1. What made you want to work in early childhood education? I always have wanted to be a teacher. As a child that is all I ever wanted to play. In college is when I realized that I had a passion for early childhood education.

2. What do you love most about teaching at Little Lambs Preschool? I love the warm and inviting feel. Everyone works as a team to ensure the children are safe and well cared for. Learning activities are designed to prepare the students for kindergarten and to spark their curiosity about the world around them.

3. What’s one thing parents might not know about you? My dream is to write children’s books.

4. What is your favorite age to teach and why? My favorite is 4-5 year olds. I taught kindergarten most of my teaching career and it is now fun helping students prepare for kindergarten.

5. What’s your favorite part of the day with your class? I love reading books to my class!

6. What is one thing your students do that always makes you smile or laugh? When they have an “Ah-ha” moment and make a learning connection that they are super proud of.

7. Favorite children’s book? Stand Tall Molly Lou Melon

12. What makes Little Lambs feel special to you? It is such a positive place for young children to learn and grow.

13. What is one thing you hope parents know about how much you care for their children? My goal is always to foster the self-esteem of my students. They may be small but they are mighty!

Soul Sisters Women’s Conference was just the reset we needed. Good Shepherd Church planned for a playful, creative day that gives you room to rest, worship and reconnect with others. It was such a beautiful event.

3 years in March!

1. What made you want to work in early childhood education?:
“I’ve always loved kids. When I was little, I dreamed of being a teacher. I love making an impact on a child’s life because I specifically remember my favorite teachers and the way they influenced me. It truly fulfills my heart.”

2. What do you love most about teaching at Little Lambs Preschool?:
“ I love the kids so much, we truly have the best group. I also love every single one of my coworkers. They make coming to work such a blast. Little Lambs is honestly a second home to me.”

3. What’s one thing parents might not know about you?:
“I’m very outgoing and talkative, and I love making people feel comfortable and welcomed.”

4. What is your favorite age to teach and why?:
“3 and 4 year olds! I love how they’re becoming independent, how creative they are, and how their personalities really start to shine. They are so witty!”

5. What’s your favorite part of the day with your class?:
“Definitely lunch time. We always have so much fun, lots of laughs and smiles.”

6. What is one thing your students do that always makes you smile or laugh?:
“Their unfiltered comments crack me up every time. Kids truly say the funniest things. And when they tell me “I love you” and give me a sweet hug, it just warms my heart.”

“Love You Forever”

“Diet Coke”

“Summer”

“Building strong connections with kids quickly and making every child feel seen and important.”

12. What makes Little Lambs feel special to you?:
“The genuine love shown to every child and family is so incredibly special. The people truly make the place. We have amazing families, kiddos, and teachers.”

13. What is one thing you hope parents know about how much you care for their children?:
“ I love and truly care about each and every one of these kids. I don’t have my own, but I love them like they were. Their happiness and safety always come first to me.”

“We’re All in This Together” – High School Musical

“Loving. Fun. Playful.”
