✨ Professional Development Day with our Adventure Club family! ✨

Today our Adventure Club staff came together for a day of learning, growing, collaborating, and—of course—having a little fun along the way!

In the spirit of this year’s theme, “The Most Magnificent Thing,” inspired by the book The Most Magnificent Thing by Ashley Spires, our staff were challenged to work together and build their very own “most magnificent thing.” And let’s just say… they definitely showed us what they’re capable of! 🔨💡❤️

A huge thank you to our Adventure Club families and students for giving us the opportunity to take this day to invest in our staff. Your support makes days like this possible.

And to our incredible staff—thank you for showing up and showing out, as always! Your creativity, teamwork, dedication, and willingness to learn are what make Adventure Club so special. We are so lucky to have such an amazing group of people pouring into our students every day.

Here’s to learning, creating, trying new things, and making something magnificent together! 💙✨

Run by students from North Kansas City Schools, Class Act Coffee Shop is such a fun part of our community. We’re proud to cheer them on, support their hard work, and enjoy the energy they bring to the neighborhood. ❤️

📚💛 Celebrating National Literacy Day! 💛📚

There’s something special about finding a book that makes you laugh, helps you understand your feelings, or simply makes you want to turn the next page. Today, our students celebrated one of the things we love most: reading!

Our EEC students, our youngest learners, read The Color Monster Goes to School. After the story, they created their very own giant Color Monster using dot markers, choosing colors to show how they were feeling today. 🎨💙💛❤️

Meanwhile, our students at Meadowbrook shared some of their favorite books right now — because there’s no better recommendation than one from a young reader! 📖✨

From our youngest learners discovering stories for the first time to our older students sharing the books they can’t put down, we’re celebrating the curiosity, imagination, and joy that reading brings.

Here’s to finding a book you love, sharing a story with a friend, and always being excited to read “just one more!” ❤️📚

We're excited to share that Adventure Club will also be utilizing ParentSquare this school year! 🎉

While EZChildTrack will remain our primary source of communication for account information, billing, registrations, and program updates, ParentSquare will be used to share newsletters, reminders, and important announcements.

Please take a moment to ensure your contact information in PowerSchool is up to date, as ParentSquare pulls its information directly from PowerSchool.

We're looking forward to using both platforms to help keep our Adventure Club families informed and connected!

We’re making it easier to stay connected! 📲🔔

NKC Schools is now using ParentSquare for all communication between school and home. Families can receive updates, sign forms, view upcoming events, and more – on your phone, computer, or through the app. ParentSquare will replace other apps in use, such as SportsYou, ClassDojo and SchoolMessenger. We’ve heard feedback from families about the need to streamline communications, and we’re looking forward to the improved experience ParentSquare will provide.

All parents and guardians are automatically enrolled to receive emails and text messages. We encourage you to download the ParentSquare app, where you can further set preferences for how, when and in what language you’d like to get messages. Stay tuned for the first messages from your school as we prepare for the new school year ahead!
