🎭 UNION GROVE THEATRE IS BACK IN ACTION! 🎭

It’s been a busy and exciting week at the Union Grove Lion Center as we get TWO productions up and running!

💀 The Addams Family: School Version 💀

Our High School Theatre students are already hard at work bringing The Addams Family to life! We’ve jumped into choreography, and things are already starting to come together. There’s a LOT of work ahead of us, but we’re having a blast getting this wonderfully weird show on its feet!

And our high school students won’t be the only ones getting in on the Addams Family fun! 👀 Next month, we’ll be sending home Drama Camp forms for our elementary students, giving them the opportunity to join our high school students onstage and become part of The Addams Family!

🖤 Dark Road — Junior High OAP 🖤

Our Junior High One-Act Play season is officially underway, too! Today, we finished our first table read of "Dark Road," and we are SO excited about what this show can become.

This is a very different kind of story for our JH students, and it’s going to give them an opportunity to really stretch themselves as actors and storytellers. Even from our very first read, we could already see some incredible moments beginning to take shape. This is going to be a phenomenal show!

📅 Performance dates for BOTH productions will be announced in the very near future, so keep an eye on our page! We have a lot happening at Union Grove, and we can’t wait to share it all with you.

The school year is officially underway, and we couldn't be more excited to have you along for the journey!

We are thrilled to announce our 2026–2027 High School Musical:

✨ "The Addams Family: School Edition" ✨

This hilarious, heartwarming musical is an incredible way to kick off our season, and our students are already hard at work bringing these unforgettable characters to life. We can't wait to share all they've been working on and hope you'll join us for an amazing year of performances!

Thank you so much to the Union Grove ISD Education Foundation for our grant, which allowed us to purchase a brand-new UIL Unit Set from Unit Sets Unlimited. This is a great purchase for the future of our program and the students who are part of it.

Peyton and Connor are ready for state today! Persuasive speaking (Connor) is at 10:45 this morning and poetry interpretation (Peyton) is at 4:00. Both guys are competing for top three in their room to advance to the state finals tomorrow.

The results weren’t in our favor.
Unfortunately, our season has come to an end. Thank you to everyone who supported us this whole season. Announcement for a public performance will be in a future post. Results from region will also be posted in the near future.

Today is regional contest for these kiddos. It’ll be hardest stop yet, but these kiddos are ready to tell their story. Say a prayer, send up a word, or send good vibes for these kid as they do what they can to make it to the next and final step.
This story has been such an important one to tell and they will go on that stage and tell it to the best of their ability. Win, lose, or draw, I’m proud of our kids and everyone in their community should be as well.
