Over the past two weeks, reading activities have encompassed a diverse array of innovative learning experiences, including a gallery walk, genre-focused reading, collaborative endeavors, utilization of graphic organizers, and generation of multisyllabic words.

- Students can bring a snack that they will be allowed to eat at 3:30.
- Snacks not allowed!!!
* Anything with peanuts or peanut butter
* Any drinks
* Any hot chips
* Candy
* Lunchables
- Examples of Snacks Allowed!!!!
* Water
* Individual package of goldfish, cookies, chips not hot, etc.

Meet our 5th grade teachers! If you have a 5th grade student at Weldon, we will be following a block schedule this year. There will be an A day and B day. Over the period of both days, your student will travel to all 6 teachers. We hope this offers longer class periods (three long classes each day) and an opportunity to hear and learn content from different perspectives.

Field Day for 5th grade is Friday at the high school. We are in need of 3 canopies for the day. If you have one we can use please let one of the teachers know.
Teachers will be reaching out to families this week to get organized. Teachers will need to following help from families:
A tent put up for the class
A cooler with ice
Drinks for students
If your family would like to donate help fulfill any field day needs that they may have please reach out to the teacher. Parents did a great job last year helping with tents, coolers and getting students to the events. Parents we appreciate you!!! 🫶
