As part of their wildlife unit, our Natural Resources class took part in March Madness… March MAMMAL Madness that is!

Created by scientists at , is a tournament where 65 different species face off in simulated battles. The outcomes aren’t random though. They’re based on science-backed data like temperament, weaponry, armor, and their “home-field advantage” based in the habitat where they fight.

Students researched and filled out brackets to predict who would survive the simulated encounters and who would be defeated. From the Wild Card round to the Championship, there were countless upsets and surprises along the way!

Our 2026 March Mammal Madness Champion is Fallon Hunnicutt with a total of 116 points! Congratulations Fallon!

Constellation participates in the Choice Gas program in Nebraska- a program that allows homeowners, businesses, farmers and ranchers to choose their natural gas supplier each year.

Once again this year, Constellation dedicated a specific amount to each FFA chapter in their Nebraska service area and made an additional contribution based on the number of customers who chose Constellation during the Choice Gas selection period this past spring. They serve 60 counties in Nebraska. Constellation provides around $12,000 to support FFA in their service area.

“Constellation is a strong supporter of the communities we serve and we are committed to finding ways to
empower the families and young people to lay the groundwork of support for the future of our state. invest in the families and young people of Nebraska and the future of our state. We hold FFA and as a highly regarded organization that does wonderful work in communities and that’s why we continue to invest and partner with them,” says Martin Schindler, Business Development Manager.

Residents in Constellation’s area will have the opportunity to support FFA efforts by simply choosing Constellation Energy Marketing as their natural gas supplier during the Choice Gas selection this spring.

What an incredible three days of State Convention for Giltner FFA!

Our floriculture team was Fallon, Braxton, Avery and Karly. Karly earned a white ribbon and placed 115 out of 240 participants! The team also chose to give back to the Lincoln community and gifted the flowers to a team of nurses at a local hospital.

Chloe earned a silver medal in creed speaking!

Kailyn, Karly and Avery also became the first members in chapter history to earn their State FFA Degrees, the highest degree the state can award to members. This shows the dedication and hard work they’ve put into Giltner FFA and their own SAE projects.

Our members also helped pack meals for , toured Hudl headquarters, played putt putt, attended sessions and networked with industry supporters.

Please join us in congratulating these members on their hard work and accomplishments!

That’s our president, doing big things! 🥳

As chapter president, Wilson arranges Giltner FFA to grow
Becoming part of historical milestones in her school’s growing FFA chapter, Giltner president Kailyn Wilson, along with two of her fellow officers, will be taking the stage at the Nebraska State FFA convention to receive her state FFA degree and golden pin.
“When I first joined FFA, I would have never imagined receiving the highest degree that a high school member could earn,” Wilson said. “I would not have been able to do it without my advisor, Mrs. (Kelsey) Schulte, both of my parents and the rest of the members in the chapter.”
