St. Mary School Rooted in the past. Educating for the future. K-8th grade Catholic school in Gilroy, CA. Educating South County since 1871! St. The mission of St.

Mary School is a Catholic school educating children starting in our 4-year-old Kinder program through 8th grade. Established in September 1871, we are accredited by WASC and WCEA and follow the Diocese of San Jose and State of California education directives. Mary School, in active partnership with families, is to provide a quality academic education, while fostering a welcoming community of faith. Our strong academic program prepares each student to be an active learner, a person of faith, and a responsible citizen. In 2016, 100% of our 8th-grade graduates were accepted to their first choice of Catholic or private high schools. Our outstanding junior high science program with a lab is a strong preparation for high school science, lead by an award-winning instructor. Teachers use extensive technology in the classrooms to enhance their instruction, and use of iPads or Chromebooks is provided for each student in 1st-8th grades. Extended care is offered before and after school with a homework club during after-school care. Mary School has a robust after-school sports program for boys and girls in 5th-8th grades. Additional programs for students include music, band, art, Spanish enrichment, speech and debate, chess, and community service. Tuition assistance is available.

💬 “Oh, nothing much… just turned apples into MUMMIES! ”

Our 6th graders brought history to life as they explored the fascinating process of mummification with a hands-on experiment using apples! Who knew learning about Ancient Egypt could be this much fun?! 🏺🍎

🎉 The Countdown is On — Come Celebrate 155 Years of St. Mary! 💙💛

We’re getting excited for an evening of food, music, fun, and community as we celebrate 155 years of St. Mary School!

📅 Friday, October 2nd | 5–8 PM
📍 St. Mary School
7900 Church Street, Gilroy

Come hungry! We’ll have an amazing lineup of local vendors, including Gorditos Tacos & Catering, Gudinos Wood Fire Pizza, Flavors with a Flair Lemonade, Taho Licious Soy Pudding, Plin Plin Ice Cream, and Bites & Delights by Evelyn! 🌮🍕🍋🍦🧁

🎶 Our DJ ‘Massive Sounds’ will be playing music all evening, and Rosie Posie Face Painting will be there adding some extra fun for kids (and kids at heart!).

Bring your chairs or a blanket, find a spot to settle in, grab some great food, and spend the evening with our St. Mary families, alumni, friends, and community.

No rushing. No agenda. Just come, eat, listen to music, visit with friends, and celebrate St. Mary together. 💙

We can’t wait to see everyone there! 🎉

155 Years of Faith, Family & Community 💙💛
