Our first Booster meeting is TONIGHT! We have had a last minute time change to 6 pm. We hope you are able to make it. We will meet in the Band Room!

Parents and families, our after school marching band (7th period) rehearsals will start on Tuesday August 23, and go from 4:00-7:00pm. They will continue every Tuesday and Thursday unless otherwise noted until our Marching Band Season is over. This is for field show marching band members only.

Good morning families! A reminder that we are resuming camp at 1:00 this afternoon, and our Tailgate Preview Performance is this evening at 6:00pm. We recommend bringing seating, burgers and a few other food items will be provided. Come hear and see what the band has been working on and get a bite to eat. Performance and meal will be in the front parking lots near the band room.

Don't forget to attend the mandatory parent meeting this Friday, at 6:00 pm at the amphitheater at CHS. There will be information about the fall marching season, band camp, important dates, football games and more!

Please check your emails regarding Rodeo volunteers and Band Camp dinner sign ups. Today is the last day for Rodeo sign ups. We will lose our spots to other groups.

We have been given the opportunity to volunteer at the Gilroy Rodeo. This is an awesome opportunity to earn much needed funds for our entire music program. Our group will be handling trash detail, with an added bonus of keeping all of the recycling items for extra cash for our group.

Student volunteers must be high school students, and anyone under the age of 16 must have a parent work with them. (For those who worked the Garlic Festival, this is the same rule ) Students can earn CHS volunteer hours as well. We also need 2 parent volunteers for each shift to supervise, and drive the golf cart. Other family members, friends and neighbors are more than welcome to work for us as well.

The shifts are :

Pre Rodeo Events
July 30, 1200 pm - 400 pm (4) positions
August 7, 1200 pm - 4 pm (4) positions

Saturday, August 13
2:00-7:00pm (10 volunteers)
6:00-11:00pm (11 volunteers)

Sunday, August 14
1:00pm-6:00pm (11 volunteers)

To register to volunteer, please go to: gilroyrodeo.com, click on get involved, then volunteers and click on the application. Each person needs to fill out an application. Be sure to note you are volunteering for CHS Midnight Pride.

Please support the Brownell Beginning Band and the Brownell/Solorsano Symphonic Band this Tuesday, June 7th at 7 pm in the Brownell MPR, as they present their Spring Concert.

Also, thanks to those who attended the SVMS Spring Concert on Friday, June 3. We hope you enjoyed the concert!

Have a fabulous summer and we look forward to seeing everyone in August. For our graduating Seniors, congratulations and best of luck in wherever your future leads you. Don't forget to visit.

To our promoting 8th graders, best of luck at GHS, CHS and GECA. We hope you continue to participate in music and band.

To our promoting 5th graders, we hope to see you in Band as well!
